Both Now You See Me Movies Become Available On Streaming Ahead Of The Third Film’s 2025 Release Date

With a highly anticipated third entry in the franchise set to arrive soon, it’s now the perfect time to watch Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 on Netflix as they hit streaming. The first film, which arrived in 2013, was a surprise hit that grossed more than $350 million (via Box Office Mojo), a very impressive number for something that isn’t a sequel or an existing IP. There’s just something cool and watchable about a group of magicians using magic tricks to pull off heists.

The sequel was a bit less successful but still also brought in over $330 million (via Box Office Mojo) and spawned a third entry, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. Ahead of that release, the first two movies are now available on streaming and they are kind of perfect for that platform because after watching Now You See Me‘s twist ending, you’ll almost have to follow up by watching the sequel.

What This Means For Now You See Me

The Release Will Get People Ready For The Third Film

As of June 1, 2025, Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 will both be available on Netflix. Although Now You See Me: Now You Don’t isn’t slated for a theatrical release until November, this arrival is happening at a great time for the franchise. While the first two films are successful and popular, there are still plenty of people who haven’t seen them. Accessibility on Netflix is perfect for anyone wanting to get caught up ahead of the third movie.

One thing that sometimes keeps people away from watching movies that are a few years old is having to rent them. While Netflix is certainly not a free service, it does have the most subscribers of any streaming service, so the Now You See Me movies will be available to a larger number of viewers than ever before. Considering the mostly consistent cast (outside of Lizzy Caplan replacing Isla Fisher for a movie) of the series, it means a lot to be able to see them all together before that third entry.

Our Take On Now You See Me Hitting Netflix

It’s Almost Sure To Trend On The Platform

The Four Horsemen stand on stage in Now You See Me

It can be difficult to tell which movies are going to end up as hits on Netflix. Sometimes, it’s a random, completely unexpected film but other times, it makes total sense. Now You See Me and its sequel feel like it’ll be the latter. The movies have the kind of unique premise that grabs viewers who don’t know anything about it going in. That said, these are popular movies so most people have at least heard of them.

It has been 12 years since the original came out and nearly 10 since the sequel, so rewatching them now on Netflix is perfect to boost your enjoyment of the next entry.

That gives it an edge because a lot of people who haven’t seen it are likely to be interested in finally watching them before the third installment arrives, meaning they’re likely to shoot up the trending charts on Netflix. There’s also a large number of people who are fans of the series and would like a refresher before Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. It has been 12 years since the original came out and nearly 10 since the sequel, so rewatching them now on Netflix is perfect to boost your enjoyment of the next entry.
