Ryan Gosling Enters The MCU As His Dream Marvel Role In Epic Art

Ryan Gosling gets his dream Marvel Cinematic Universe role in a new art that imagines him as a fiery hero. Gosling is one of the most popular actors in Hollywood. The star routinely alternates between films on the awards circuit and major action tentpoles. So far, Gosling has yet to play a live-action superhero, be it at either Marvel or DC. That said, Gosling is a popular pick for multiple Marvel heroes who have yet to join the MCU, and he now becomes one of them in exciting fan art.

On Instagram, @piscesgoji2021 shared what Ryan Gosling could look like as the MCU’s Ghost Rider.

The MCU fan art sees Gosling don the character’s signature leather outfit, with half of his face human and half of it transformed into Ghost Rider’s fiery skull. In July 2022, Gosling revealed the superhero he wants to play: Ghost Rider. The character has yet to join the franchise, and Gosling talked to Josh Horowitz about his desire to play him while addressing rumors that he was up for the MCU’s Nova, which were inaccurate.

Could Ryan Gosling Join The MCU As Ghost Rider?

The only live-action versions of Ghost Rider in Marvel projects since Nicolas Cage led two movies as the character have been in Agents of SHIELD. While Gabriel Luna wants to reprise his role as the Robbie Reyes version of the hero in the MCU, Marvel has not made the show canon to the franchise at this moment. With the MCU’s Multiverse Saga raging on, many fans have asked for Cage to come back as Ghost Rider one more time, and that almost happened in ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine.

The MCU’s first ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool movie had concept art of Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider, but he did not appear. As such, Marvel Studios is keeping the hero in mind for upcoming MCU projects, which opens the door for either the live-action Ghost Riders to return via the multiverse or for a new actor to take on the role. Based on his popularity, proven acting range, and desire to play the role, Gosling would be perfect for the MCU’s Ghost Rider. Additionally, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said he would “love to find a place for him in the MCU.”

Our Take On Whether Ryan Gosling Could Join The MCU As Ghost Rider

The Actor Is Perfect For The Marvel Franchise And The Character

Gosling has shown in movies like Drive that he has the skills to play a darker character like Ghost Rider. While his impeccable comedic timing would not be able to shine as much, that skill could come in handy for a few sarcastic remarks with the signature MCU humor. Gosling’s action prowess is also well-documented, with the star leading movies like The Fall Guy and The Gray Man. Having an actor of his caliber join the MCU with a pᴀssion for such a major hero as Ghost Rider would be fantastic, so I hope Ryan Gosling gets the role.
