Eat & Drink Like Ethan Hunt With Alamo Drafthouse’s Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning Themed Menu [EXCLUSIVE]

Tom Cruise is running back on to the screen with Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, and the Alamo Drafthouse is celebrating with a specialized food and drink menu for the action sequel. The eighth installment serves as a continuation of ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Reckoning‘s ending, in which Ethan Hunt is still racing to find the dangerous artificial intelligence, The Enтιтy, and the Russian stealth submarine, the Sevastopol, before Esai Morales’ Gabriel can use it for nuclear destruction. The ensemble Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning cast sees numerous returns, including Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg, among many others.

With just a few days left until the movie’s release, ScreenRant is excited to exclusively reveal that Alamo Drafthouse is bringing a special Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning-themed menu to their screenings. The menu, which will be available at 42 locations nationwide from May 20 to June 9, is a combination of “dangerously delicious, elevated mac & cheese creations” that are inspired by “past impossible missions“, while also paired with the “Mission Accepted” cocktail, “crafted to keep your cool while things get dangerously cheesy“. Why You Should Check Out Alamo Drafthouse’s Final Reckoning Screenings

The Mission: Impossible-Themed Cuisine Isn’t The Only Selling Point

Ever since the franchise first launched with the 1996 expansion of the classic TV series, the Mission: Impossible movies have always been a theatrical event, thanks in large part to the extreme stunts Cruise has performed himself across the eight films. Whether it was the free solo climbing sequence from the first sequel or hanging on to the side of a plane in Rogue Nation‘s opening scene and cliff-jumping off of a motorcycle in ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Reckoning, the Oscar nominee’s dedication to the practical stunts has left viewers speechless seeing each one on the big screen.

In addition to the stunts and specialized menu, one of the biggest reasons to see The Final Reckoning at an Alamo Drafthouse is the theater chain’s devotion to delivering as pure of a cinema experience for the viewer as possible. The theater has a very strict policy regarding interruptions from the audience, namely the use of cellphones or disruptive talking, unless it is a specialized screening inviting audience participation. While every theater asks this of their viewers, Alamo will remove disruptive attendees from the screening, and even ban them, depending on their behavior, creating a perfect environment to experience The Final Reckoning.

The other major reason to see Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning at an Alamo Drafthouse is to see whether this will indeed be the final installment in the franchise. Both Cruise and co-writer/director Christopher McQuarrie have been very cautious about confirming it will be the end of Ethan’s adventures, expressing an interest in more stories, though the movie’s marketing has really painted it as being the end. With Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning reviews also touting it as the biggest yet, Alamo is the perfect place to see the action sequel.
