What Lilo & Sтιтch’s Rotten Tomatoes Score Means For The Movie

What Are The Reviews Saying?

Lilo & Sтιтch‘s Rotten Tomatoes score means that its reviews are mostly positive. For instance, in ScreenRant‘s Lilo & Sтιтch review, Mary Kessel writes, “This vividly realized take on the beloved animated classic is Disney’s best live-action remake yet… while it might not have the lovable mess of the original, it still finds its voice.” Otherwise, critics are praising the remake’s heart, emotional depth, and standout performances, particularly Maia Kealoha as Lilo. Many say it retains the core message of the original while offering fresh and more grounded storytelling.

However, a few feel that the remake lacks the original’s chaotic energy and cultural uniqueness. Several reviews criticize its unnecessary changes, visual shortcomings, and attempts to balance homage with new ideas. There is certainly a wide range of reactions, as some critics consider it Disney’s best live-action remake yet, while others view it as another forgettable adaptation. Overall, Lilo & Sтιтch is considered a heartfelt, if imperfect, remake that connects emotionally, even if it doesn’t surpᴀss the beloved animated classic.
