Sadie Sink Suits Up As The Superhero Daughter Of Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker In Stunning Spider-Man: Brand New Day Art

Spider-Man: Brand New Day artwork sees Sadie Sink join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as one of Marvel’s beloved heroines. With Phase 6 getting ready to kick off this summer, the MCU timeline is close to finally having Tom Holland’s Peter Parker back in the franchise after being absent since 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. As Spider-Man: Brand New Day is getting closer to becoming a reality, one of the biggest mysteries right now with Holland’s sequel is who Sink will be portraying, since she is one of the new cast members to board the project.

While Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have yet to announce who Sink is playing, Mohd Haris shared new unofficial artwork for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, where she is imagined as a very famous character from the Spider-Man mythology, but with a multiverse angle. The MCU art sees Sink depicted as Marvel’s Mayday Parker, a.k.a. the daughter of Peter and Mary Jane Watson, from the Sam Raimi universe. Check it out below:

To this point, Mayday has only appeared in one other Marvel movie, as Peter and M.J.’s daughter made her cinematic debut back in 2023’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, where she appears as a baby. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to begin principal pH๏τography this summer; the movie will also feature Liza Colón-Zayas in a mystery role.

What The Sadie Sink As Spider-Girl Art Means For Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Ever since Sink joined the Spider-Man: Brand New Day cast, there have been various theories about who she could be playing, which is why fans are continuing to create artwork of potential characters from the Marvel canon she could be portraying. However, the idea of Sink as Mayday Parker may be the best one yet, especially if Spider-Man: Brand New Day ends up being another multiverse-based story for Holland’s тιтular hero. Given that Spider-Man: Brand New Day comes out right after Avengers: Doomsday, it’s not impossible that this film will potentially tackle the multiverse in one way or another.

The concept of Sink being related to Maguire’s Peter and Kirsten Dunst’s M.J. also allows Spider-Man: Brand New Day to flesh out the legacy of the Raimi universe, as it would make perfect sense that they have a daughter who has followed her father’s footsteps at this point in their lives. If Mayday is somehow stuck on Earth-616 in the midst of Phase 6, that also builds a natural reason to set up a potential return for Maguire’s Spider-Man. But until Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios say anything, Sink as Mayday only exists as a popular theory for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Our Take On The Sadie Sink As Spider-Girl Art

Seeing how incredible Sink looks as Spider-Girl in the new MCU artwork, this would be a really fun and smart casting for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, while also letting Holland’s Peter get to team-up with another Spider-hero. If Sink ends up playing Mayday, it would also be fascinating to see how she would work with Maguire’s Spider-Man, if he ever comes back. Hopefully, once Spider-Man: Brand New Day starts filming, more clues about Sink’s mystery character will start to emerge.
