DCU Supergirl Actor Milly Alcock Addresses Superman Movie Cameo Rumors

With DC Universe rumors floating around that Kara Zor-El is in Superman this year, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’s Milly Alcock comments on the questions about whether she is in the film or not. As 2025 gets ready for summer, Gunn’s Superman movie is getting closer, with two months left to go for the Man of Steel’s return to the big screen. However, as the DCU is also bringing in Supergirl in Chapter 1: “Gods and Monsters” for her own solo film in 2026, there have been rumors that Kara might be making her debut early through Superman.

In a new interview with Extra, Milly Alcock, who recently wrapped production on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, was asked about the chances of seeing Kara join David Corenswet’s Clark Kent in Superman. Commenting on the real-world complications of addressing the matter, Alcock didn’t confirm or deny anything about Supergirl showing up in Superman, with the Australian actress sharing the following, including a little bit on her experience finishing Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow:

I can’t speak. I can’t speak on it. Yeah, I wrapped on Friday. I don’t want to get sued! [laughs] No, I can’t, I really can’t. As much as I want to, I can’t. I literally wrapped on Friday. It’s a whirlwind, it’s a crazy, wonderful life. I’m very, very excited…I think it’s actually gonna be a really good movie [about Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.]

What Milly Alcock’s Comments Mean For The DCU’s Supergirl

When Alcock was cast in 2024 as the DCU’s Supergirl, early reports claimed that she would debut in a different project before Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, sparking the idea that she would feature in Superman. While Gunn responded to the Supergirl rumors by stating “I never even said she was in the movie,” Alcock’s response is very much up for interpretation, as it wasn’t a flat-out no or yes. Alcock’s cryptic response could be seen as a very careful yes, but there is also the possibility that she is just being mindful about sharing anything regarding her DCU gig.

Since the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie is still over a year out, it makes sense that Alcock is remaining тιԍнт-lipped about Kara’s DCU adventures, as marketing for her film will likely not begin for quite some time. In regard to Superman, it’s clear that if Supergirl is meant to be in the film in any capacity, it’s supposed to be a surprise. As such, even if Kara does end up featuring in the film in some capacity, it’s unlikely Alcock or anyone involved with DC Studios will comment on the matter until Superman itself has debuted.

Our Take On Milly Alcock’s DCU Supergirl Comments

From Alcock’s latest response, it would be shocking if it turned out that Supergirl is a part of Superman after all, especially as having her get an introduction in the 2025 installment could help set up her arc in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. That said, the actor’s careful choice of words certainly leaves things open for the time being. However, with only a few more months left to go, the world will soon know whether or not Superman features Supergirl.
