Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Is Fixing A Glaring Dinosaur Issue From The Last 3 Movies

A specific species of dinosaur seems like it will be a major threat again in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth after being allies to humans in the last few movies. The upcoming Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will begin a new era for the long-running franchise, which means it’s the perfect time to remedy mistakes made by the last few films. While all the Jurᴀssic World movies have been entertaining, they have not all been critically acclaimed. Therefore, instead of repeating the mistakes made by the more recent films, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is setting out to recapture the magic of the original Jurᴀssic Park.

In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, Scarlett Johansson’s Zora Bennet will recruit a team to retrieve DNA samples from dinosaurs that are living on the island that served as the research facility for the original Jurᴀssic Park. As is teased in the trailer for the film, these dinosaurs were deemed too dangerous for the original park, which means that Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s characters will find themselves in many life-threatening situations. Out of all the dinosaurs that are confirmed to appear in the movie, I am most excited that velociraptors seem like they will be a major threat again in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth.

Jurᴀssic World Turned Velociraptors Into Human Allies After Being Iconically Scary In Jurᴀssic Park

Raptors Like Blue Were Nice In Previous Jurᴀssic World Movies

Velociraptors were some of the scariest dinosaurs in the original Jurᴀssic Park trilogy. In fact, Lex and Tim hiding from the velociraptors in the kitchen in the first Jurᴀssic Park is arguably the most iconic scene of the entire franchise. Velociraptors are much smaller than many other dinosaurs in the Jurᴀssic Park franchise, but that doesn’t make them any less scary. In many scenarios, their smaller size actually makes them more terrifying since they are quicker than many other dinosaurs and can follow characters into smaller spaces.

While the first three films established that velociraptors are very dangerous creatures, the Jurᴀssic World movies showed a different side of the dinosaur species. In the first Jurᴀssic World movie, Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady is shown training a pack of velociraptors, who are led by Blue. All the raptors in this pack respect Owen, which means that they help him and the other characters in all three Jurᴀssic World movies. Since they have come across as very friendly in the previous Jurᴀssic World movies, it’s easy to forget how dangerous velociraptors actually are.

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Is Making Velociraptors Scary Again

Velociraptors Will Be Major Threats In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

Since Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is the start of a new era, Owen Grady and raptors like Blue likely won’t be appearing in the film. This means that the characters in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will finally be scared of velociraptors again. While Owen having a connection with Blue and the other raptors was a unique thing to explore in the franchise, I am glad that Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is presenting them as terrifying creatures again.

Not much of the raptors is shown in the trailer for Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, but Jonathan Bailey’s character, who is a dinosaur expert recruited by Zora, is clearly afraid of them. The showdown between several characters and a pack of raptors is teased in the trailer, and could very well be one of the scariest scenes in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. Ahead of the film’s release, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s new velociraptor design has been revealed, which also proves that they will be very scary in the upcoming movie.

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s Raptors Can Help The Movie Recapture Jurᴀssic Park’s Horror

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Will Hopefully Be The Franchise’s Scariest Movie In Years

It has been teased that Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will focus more on horror than the other recent films in the franchise. This means that the film will be a return to form for the franchise, which is great news after several underwhelming entries. Including a terrifying scene involving velociraptors is a great way to include more horror in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth and strike some fear into the human characters. Therefore, I can’t wait to see how much of a threat the velociraptors pose in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth.
