Death’s Future Victims Can’t Hide Their Fear In Exclusive Final Destination: Bloodlines Image

This article is part of ScreenRant‘s Exclusive Summer 2025 Movie Preview. Keep an eye out for the full feature next week!

A new Final Destination Bloodlines image promises an utterly horrifying story. The sixth movie in the Final Destination franchise, the movie is set to be released on May 16. Zach Lipovsky (ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Rising: Watchtower) and Adam Stein (Kim Possible), who are both newcomers to these movies, serve as the directors, and they hope to reimagine the potential of this universe. Kaitlyn Santa Juana leads as Stefani Reyes, a young woman who tries to escape Death’s machinations after discovering the truth about her grandmother’s (Gabrielle Rose) mysterious vision.

ScreenRant can now exclusively share a new Final Destination Bloodlines image that offers fresh insight into the movie. The image features Stefani and Owen Patrick Joyner’s Bobby, as they stare in horror at an unseen threat. For the movie’s opening sequence at the Skyview Restaurant, the special effects team used some 600 liters of propane fuel to create the fire. A later fire in Iris’ cabin required an additional 1,200 liters of fuel, which indicates a strong reliance on practical effects in key scenes. Check out the new image below:

What This Image Means For Final Destination Bloodlines

There Is More Than Just An Image

It is already fairly self-evident that Bloodlines will be a bloody affair, so it should come as no great surprise that Stefani and Bobby would witness horrifying scenes. Even the presence of the initial fire at the Skyview Restaurant is not especially shocking, given that the scene featured heavily in Bloodlines‘ first trailer. The trailer features an entire restaurant filled with people burning, while Rose’s Iris describes the fact that Death is looking to destroy their family. Given that fire was meant to cause the first disaster, it is only natural that Death would rely on flames again later on.

The late Tony Todd (William Bludworth) will make his final theatrical appearance in this movie.

Still, the presence of so much propane fuel means that there will certainly be mᴀssive explosions in this movie. The first fire, which was visible in the trailer, is somehow only half the size of the second. With the latter blaze set to take place later in the movie’s run, it will be a highly anticipated special effect that should reveal just how desperate Death is to destroy this innocent family. It will also likely feature more than just a typical fire, as the Final Destination movies are known for inventive deaths, cunning twists, and thrilling action.

The upcoming Final Destination movie already looks to be a compelling release. The family narrative will set it apart from other movies in the franchise, and the practical effects should ensure that every death is both impactful and realistic. The trailers have already crafted the perfect mix of tension and wonder, and these new details only make it more engaging. It will be exciting to see how Final Destination Bloodlines hopes to increase the stakes with new special effects, large explosions, and fresh and inventive ways to die.
