A $3 Billion YA Movie Franchise Is Trending With All 5 Movies Now On Netflix & Elder Emos Should Be Delighted

Elder emos should be delighted as a certain $3 billion young adult franchise has finally hit Netflix, with all 5 movies from the Twilight saga now available to stream. The box-office-breaking Twilight movie saga was a mᴀssive hit in the 2010s and follows the series of books of the same name by Stephanie Meyer. Starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, Twilight released five fantastic movies from 2008 to 2012, following the story of a young Bella Swan as she finds herself in a dangerous love triangle with the vampire Edward Cullen, and the Quileute shapeshifter werewolf, Jacob Black.

Netflix has revealed via Tudum that all five Twilight movies are now available to watch on the streaming site in the US as of May 1, 2025. According to the rankings, the first Twilight movie currently sits at number 3 in Netflix’s Top 10 list, with Twilight: New Moon sitting at number 8. In fact, all five movies briefly occupied the top slots on the list when they were added, beating Tom Hardy’s new movie, Havoc. However, fans will not have long to watch all five vampire movies as the Twilight saga will reportedly leave Netflix on July 1, 2025.

What This Means For The Twilight Franchise

Netflix Is Gearing Up For Animated Twilight TV Show

Twilight has recently become popular again on the internet, as many fans of the franchise have now grown up and have come to view the movies as nostalgic. Despite being critically panned at the time, the Twilight saga started a vampire phenomenon, especially among teen audiences, with each installment gradually earning more at the box office. In fact, the franchise’s final movie, Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, earned $848.6 million alone, the highest-grossing film released by Summit Entertainment. Therefore, despite its bad reputation among film critics, the film series was widely enjoyed by many and made cinematic history.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012)

Recently, the Twilight saga has seen a significant rise in popularity once again, despite a lack of content since Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was released in 2012. This comes as its older fanbase fondly look back on the YA films, creating various memes, skits, and generally revitalizing enthusiasm for Twilight. As a result, 13 years since the movies were originally released, Netflix has decided to release the entire saga on its platform, most likely to capitalize on the growing attention of the franchise, so you can now revisit Twilight’s Cullen family once again, catching up on that 2010s action.

Netflix’s decision to host all the Twilight movies on its platform doesn’t come as a surprise, as the streaming service is most likely gearing up for the release of the Twilight animated TV series based on Midnight Sun. Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight novel, Midnight Sun, was released in 2020, and follows the events of the first novel from the perspective of Edward Cullen. The series was announced in 2023 by Lionsgate, before being given a straight-to-series order by Netflix in 2024. A timeline has not been revealed, but, in the meantime, Twilight fans can enjoy the trending films on Netflix.
