In a powerful and highly secretive operation, the United States has deployed its most advanced stealth bombers in a deep strike on Iran’s heavily fortified Parchin military complex, one of Tehran’s most sensitive sites linked to missile development and alleged nuclear research.
Two B-2 Spirit stealth bombers reportedly penetrated Iranian airspace under the cover of darkness and delivered precision strikes on underground facilities at Parchin. Satellite imagery shows mᴀssive craters and secondary explosions at the site, suggesting the possible use of the GBU-57 Mᴀssive Ordnance Penetrator — America’s 30,000-pound “bunker-buster” super bomb designed to destroy deeply buried targets.
Pentagon sources have remained тιԍнт-lipped, but the scale of the destruction has led many analysts to conclude that the GBU-57 was indeed deployed for the first time in this conflict.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) condemned the strike as “a desperate act of aggression,” while Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei vowed that “Parchin will be avenged with fire and blood.” Iranian state media claims the facility was a scientific research center and that civilian areas were also affected.
This strike comes as Operation Epic Fury enters its most dangerous phase. The U.S. has already burned through more than $11 billion in munitions in just two weeks. Both the USS Gerald R. Ford and USS Abraham Lincoln remain severely limited by repeated fires and Iranian missile attacks. Critical radar systems across the Gulf have been destroyed, and interceptor stockpiles are critically low.
By targeting Parchin, the United States is clearly attempting to deliver a decisive blow to Iran’s advanced weapons program. However, many observers question whether even these high-profile strikes can break Iran’s will. Tehran has repeatedly shown its ability to absorb heavy losses and strike back with sophisticated missiles and drones.
As the smoke clears over Parchin and the world waits to see Iran’s response, one critical question is emerging: Has America just crossed the point of no return in this war — or has it only succeeded in provoking an even more determined and dangerous Iranian retaliation?
