All 34 Potential Members Of Rey’s New Jedi Order

Rey will return in an upcoming Star Wars film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and there are already dozens of candidates for her New Jedi Order. Set 15 years after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Rey’s movie will follow her training the next generation of Jedi after taking the Skywalker name. The story will surely introduce several new Jedi characters and kick off the next era of Star Wars storytelling.

However, Rey’s New Jedi Order doesn’t have to start from scratch, as several existing Star Wars characters could join its ranks. This includes Force-sensitive characters confirmed to be alive, ones who haven’t been killed off yet, and characters from upcoming Star Wars movies and TV shows who could cross over with Rey’s movie. From galactic-shaping events to small references, these are the 32 potential members of Rey’s New Jedi Order.

Uvell

First Appearance: “The End of History” (Star Wars Insider 154)

Jedi Master Uvell was an Order 66 survivor who first appeared in “The End of History” by Alexander Freed, originally published in Star Wars Insider 154. He loaded a starship with surviving Jedi artifacts and entrusted them to an antiques dealer named Antron Bach, who went into hiding on a Geonosian colony. How long Uvell lived after Order 66 is unknown, meaning he could appear in future stories.

Rowan Freemaker

First Appearance: LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures (Non-Canon)

Rowan Freemaker was a Force-sensitive boy who received Jedi training in LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures. Although the series is non-canon, the creators have described it as “canon-adjacent” and tried to make it as consistent with the canon timeline as possible. The canon reference book Star Wars: Droidography by Marc Sumerak also made R0-GR canon, and Leland Chee has said there’s room for other Freemaker characters like Rowan to be canonized.

Temiri Blagg

First Appearance: Star Wars: The Last Jedi

More commonly known as “Broom Boy,” Temiri Blagg helped Finn and Rose Tico escape Canto Bight in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The final scene showed him using the Force to grab a broom, with the reflecting light making him look like a Jedi with a lightsaber. Star Wars: Duel of the Fates, Colin Trevorrow’s original script for Episode IX, would have had him and the other Canto Bight orphans become the first students of Rey’s Jedi academy.

31

Oppo Rancisis

First Appearance: Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace

Oppo Rancisis was a Jedi Master who sat on the Jedi High Council during the Star Wars prequel era. In the Star Wars Legends timeline, he was killed near the end of the Clone Wars, but his fate was changed in the current canon. Star Wars: Darth Vader (2017) #19 features an Imperial list of known Order 66 survivors, and one of the names is Oppo Rancisis.

Coleman Kcaj

First Appearance: Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith

Coleman Kcaj was another Jedi Master who sat on the Council during the Clone Wars and later survived the Jedi Purge. Like Oppo Rancisis, he was on the list of known Order 66 survivors in Star Wars: Darth Vader (2017) #19, so he could still be alive by the New Jedi Order era.

Ka-Moon Kholi

First Mentioned: Star Wars: Darth Vader (2017) #19

Little is known about Ka-Moon Kholi besides Star Wars: Darth Vader (2017) #19 listing them as an Order 66 survivor. The name is a tuckerization of Giuseppe Camuncoli, the penciler of the issue.

Selrahc Eluos

First Mentioned: Star Wars: Darth Vader (2017) #19

Selrahc Eluos is another Jedi survivor listed in Star Wars: Darth Vader (2017) #19 and another tuckerization of penciler Giuseppe Camuncoli. Writer Charles Soule actually considered using this Jedi in the Star Wars: Legacy of Vader comic series.

27

Karr Nuq Sin

First Appearance: Star Wars: Force Collector

Karr Nuq Sin first appeared in Star Wars: Force Collector by Kevin Shinick, set two years before Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He began experiencing visions when he touched certain objects, taking him on a quest that eventually led to his great-grandfather, former Jedi Padawan Naq Med, who died peacefully after meeting his grandson. Karr became a collector of Jedi artifacts, a role that would make him invaluable to Rey’s New Jedi Order.

26

Finn

First Appearance: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The first student Rey would recruit for her New Jedi Order would probably be Finn, who was confirmed to be Force-sensitive in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The non-canon LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special even shows Rey training him as a Jedi, so Lucasfilm is at least comfortable teasing the idea. Of course, John Boyega is cautious about returning to Star Wars, but there’s still a 15-year gap that could be explored in other media.

25

Jannah

First Appearance: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Finn’s conversation with Jannah in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker suggests she may also be Force-sensitive. Jannah and her entire stormtrooper company laid down their weapons when ordered to fire on civilians, and Finn later helped her realize the feeling that compelled her to do so was the Force. It may not mean she can wield it like a Jedi, but it’s always possible.
