All of Us Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅ has four protagonists, but one of them stole the show in the first season and deserves an even bigger role in season 2. Given how there are more than enough zombie movies and TV shows, a K-drama like All of Us Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅ would have to have something unique that would set it apart from all the other entries in the genre. Fortunately, in addition to fun new concepts like All of Us Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅ‘s hambies, the show also had some amazing characters we could not help but root for.
While a lot of those characters died in season 1, most of our protagonists are set to return in All of Us Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅ season 2. The biggest question is the fate of Cheong-san, whose “death” may not have been definitive enough in a show about unᴅᴇᴀᴅ people and asymptomatic zombies. That said, while I loved Cheong-san, On-jo, and Nam-ra, I believe Su-hyeok is the one who stole the show in the first season and deserves a bigger role in season 2.
I Want To Learn More About Su-hyeok In All Of Us Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Season 2
Su-hyeok Should Have A Bigger Role In Season 2
Su-hyeok was one of the lead characters in All of Us Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, but compared to the likes of Cheong-san and On-jo, he was not given that much focus. The only thing we know about Su-hyeok in All of Us Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅ is that he was once friends with bullies until he eventually distanced himself from them and started to help the students who were being bullied. The fact that Su-hyeok is a former bully is a very interesting premise for a character who, during most of season 1, was putting his life on the line for others.
There is very little we know about Su-hyeok outside of the school. Whereas we got to meet the parents of On-jo and Cheong-san in season 1 and even learned a little bit about Nam-ra’s powerful family, we don’t have much context about Su-hyeok’s upbringing. I would love to learn more about Lomon’s character, including but not limited to what made him distance himself from the bullies and whether he feels guilty about his past. With Cheong-san and On-jo being the main couple and Nam-ra becoming a hambie, there wasn’t much room for Su-hyeok’s character to grow in season 1.
With Cheong-san Gone, Su-hyeok Should Be Even More Important For The Group
Su-hyeok Has What It Takes To Be A Leader
Whether Cheong-san is actually ᴅᴇᴀᴅ is difficult to say, but the fact is that he is no longer with the group. This means that Su-hyeok could naturally have a bigger role in season 2, especially as some sort of leader figure for the Hyosan High survivors. Su-hyeok and Cheong-san both risked their lives several times throughout season 1 to protect the others and were not afraid of fighting. Considering that Nam-ra is off doing her own thing and On-jo has suffered two major losses, there’s no better option to “lead” the group than Su-hyeok.
Su-hyeok has surely proven himself when it comes to fighting, but I’m interested to see how he would fare as a leader.
Su-hyeok was one of the characters who questioned the military about the help that never came, further suggesting that he can be a leader in season 2. He has surely proven himself when it comes to fighting, but I’m interested to see how he would fare as a leader who has to make difficult decisions and guide his friends through a post-apocalyptic world. This would add more layers to Su-hyeok’s character, not to mention how it would make his relationship with Nam-ra even more interesting.
Su-hyeok & Nam-ra’s Love Story Might Be At The Center Of All Of Us Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Season 2
Will Nam-ra And Su-hyeok End Up Together?
Su-hyeok’s most important storyline in All of Us Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅ season 2 might be his relationship with Nam-ra, who is now living with other hambies. Nam-ra cannot be with her friends from school, at least not in the military encampment, which itself creates a fascinating conflict. Su-hyeok and the others might soon have to choose between staying safe and sheltered or going back to the outside world to protect Nam-ra and her new hambie friends. I have no doubt that Su-hyeok, On-jo, and the others would choose to stay with their “class president.”
It also remains to be seen whether Su-hyeok and Nam-ra will make it work as a couple. On the one hand, Nam-ra has finally learned how to control her powers and should no longer be a threat to others. On the other hand, she will probably have to protect herself and other hambies and may not have time for a happily ever after ending with Su-hyeok. Either way, there is a lot that All of Us Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅ season 2 can do with these two characters and their love story.
