The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the attack, calling it part of the ongoing retaliation under Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. Iranian officials stated the strikes were a direct response to continued U.S. and Israeli aggression during Operation Epic Fury.
