Tom Cruise Shows His Support For Ryan Coogler’s Sinners In Celebratory Post

Tom Cruise celebrates Ryan Coogler’s Sinners in a new post. The vampire horror movie starring Michael B. Jordan as twin brothers Smoke and Stack has already proven to be a significant critical and commercial success. Reviews for Sinners have been stellar, with Jordan’s dual performance, Coogler’s direction, and the music being among the many elements that have received acclaim. After a dominant opening weekend, Sinners has continued to perform exceptionally well during its second weekend in theaters, where the film had a record-low drop at the box office.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), Cruise posted a picture of himself smiling in front of a Sinners poster as he points at his tickets to see the movie. The post includes a caption that reads “Congratulations Ryan, Michael, and to the entire cast and crew. Must see in a cinema and stay through the end credits!” On Instagram, Jordan posted a story thanking everyone who has seen the movie, and this now includes Cruise. What This Means For Sinners

The Movie’s Success Is Good News For Hollywood

Cruise celebrating Sinners‘ success is a sign of the movie’s extensive reach and the strong impact that it is having on Hollywood. The Mission: Impossible star recognizes that what Coogler, Jordan, and the rest of the cast and crew have achieved is something truly special, and their accomplishments deserve to be recognized and celebrated. Sinners was already thriving without his endorsement, but his enthusiastic post can help bring further momentum to the movie’s ongoing success.

While big movies and stars are sometimes pitted against each other, Hollywood benefits the most when the members of the community support each other. Sinners and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning were already two of the most anticipated movies of 2025, and the former is more than living up to the anticipation. Cruise is not concerned about Sinners‘ taking anything away from his upcoming movie, though, and is only focused on highlighting his talented peers and their film, which is promising for the future of the entertainment industry.

Our Take On Tom Cruise & Michael B. Jordan’s Posts

Hollywood Needs Movies Like Sinners Alongside Successful Franchises

Michael B Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku, Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, and Omar Benson Miller in Sinners.

Cruise is now largely ᴀssociated with franchises like Mission: Impossible and Top Gun, and there has been a sentiment that franchises are the only movies that can now commercially succeed. Sinners‘ box office and the overwhelmingly positive response from critics and general audiences proves otherwise. Jordan, who has previously starred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and in the Creed movies, understands the importance of franchises, as does Cruise, but both actors also star in and celebrate original standalone movies, and it is important to recognize that both types of films can succeed.
