A new The Amazing Spider-Man 3 concept poster adapts one of Peter Parker’s most famous Marvel storylines for Andrew Garfield’s version of the web-slinger. Following his return as the incarnation of Spider-Man in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, there has been a huge demand to see Garfield finally get his canceled The Amazing Spider-Man 3 sequel produced. Whether or not that is ever going to be on the table remains to be seen, as Sony Pictures hasn’t revealed if they ever intend to revive The Amazing Spider-Man franchise.

Fans have been campaigning to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3 for years now, and one of the stories that they have been wanting to see adapted for Garfield’s version is the black Symbiote suit storyline. To show what it could potentially look like, Mohd Haris shared a new The Amazing Spider-Man 3 concept poster, showcasing Garfield’s тιтular hero being consumed by the Symbiote. Check it out below:

Whether or not The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was ever going to feature the black Symbiote is unclear, as there have been little to no official details ever shared about what was actually in store for the film that was originally set to be released in 2016. However, given the tragic death of Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, it wouldn’t have been shocking if The Amazing Spider-Man 3 had tackled the Symbiote arc as part of Peter’s grief.

What The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Art Means For Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man

Despite the fallout that came from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Garfield and his performance as the Marvel icon were never the problem, as his sequel was instead scrapped due to shake-ups at Sony Pictures. That is why, to this day, fans are still showing their support for and pᴀssion about wanting to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3 actually get made, especially after how successful Garfield’s appearance was in Spider-Man: No Way Home. If anything, Garfield’s visit to the MCU timeline only made a stronger case for why his Spider-Man film series should get revived.

If The Amazing Spider-Man 3 were to get produced today, it would also work in line with Garfield’s Spider-Man return conditions that he recently shared. If the British star is looking for a return that would be “something very strange,” having Peter finally explore the black Symbiote suit story is one way to get that wish to come true. Even if The Amazing Spider-Man 3 were to take place after Spider-Man: No Way Home, there are other dark stories that could justify how Peter bonds with the Symbiote.

Our Take On The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Art

Seeing how phenomenal Garfield would look with the black Symbiote suit, it would be incredible if he ever got to properly adapt that story in The Amazing Spider-Man 3, should Sony Pictures ever decide to greenlight it. While The Amazing Spider-Man 3 may not be on the table for the time being, hopefully, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios could at least stage Garfield being in Avengers: Secret Wars alongside Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire. However, as stranger things have happened in Hollywood, especially with the superhero genre, time will tell if The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is completely ruled out.
