US Strikes Kharg Island; Trump Warns ‘Oil Facilities Could Be Next If Strait Of Hormuz Remains Shut’.hl

In a major escalation of Operation Epic Fury, the United States has launched a powerful airstrike on Kharg Island — Iran’s largest and most critical oil export terminal, often described as the “crown jewel” of its energy industry.

President Donald Trump personally confirmed the operation, stating: “We hit Kharg Island very hard tonight. It was precise and devastating. If Iran continues trying to shut down the Strait of Hormuz, we will not hesitate to bomb every remaining oil facility they have. They have been warned.”

Satellite imagery shows mᴀssive fires and thick black smoke rising from the island’s huge storage tanks, loading terminals, and pumping stations. The facility handles nearly 90% of Iran’s crude oil exports. Analysts say the strike could severely disrupt Iran’s oil revenue for weeks or even months.

The attack comes as Iran continues to threaten a full closure of the Strait of Hormuz in response to U.S. and Israeli operations. Tehran has already attacked several tankers and turned the narrow waterway into a high-risk war zone, sending global oil prices surging.

However, the U.S. military is paying a heavy price for this campaign. The USS Gerald R. Ford remains crippled by recurring fires and limited flight operations, while the USS Abraham Lincoln has faced repeated Iranian missile threats. America has already burned through more than $11 billion in munitions in the first two weeks, with critical radar systems destroyed across the region and interceptor stockpiles running dangerously low.

Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s regime has vowed a “crushing and immediate response,” warning that any further attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure will trigger all-out retaliation, including attempts to completely block the Strait of Hormuz.

This latest strike raises the stakes dramatically. By directly targeting Iran’s economic lifeline, the United States is signaling it is prepared to wage economic warfare to force Tehran to back down. But many analysts warn that pushing Iran too hard on oil could backfire, triggering a global energy crisis and dragging more countries into the conflict.

As flames engulf Kharg Island and Trump issues his strongest warning yet, the world is left wondering: Is this the decisive blow that breaks Iran’s resistance — or the move that finally ignites a full-scale regional oil war?

The next 48 hours may prove critical.
