What The Song Sung Blue Image Means For The Movie
It Pairs Two Top Musical Talents
Starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, it would be difficult to imagine two musical talents better suited for the two lead roles in Song Sung Blue. Though the Australian actor is best known for his portrayal of Wolverine, Jackman has starred in the movie musicals Les Misérables and The Greatest Showman, the former earning him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. On Broadway, Jackman has won a Tony Award for the musical The Boy from Oz and earned another nomination for The Music Man.
Hudson is an equally esteemed musical talent, having risen to fame for her performance as Penny Lane in the musical drama Almost Famous, for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Hudson has also starred in the movie musical Nine, had a recurring role on Glee, and starred in Sia’s movie musical, aptly тιтled Music. Hudson also released her debut studio album, Glorious, in 2024. In turn, Jackman and Hudson should be able to perform the iconic songs of Neil Diamond with impressive apтιтude.
Our Take On Song Sung Blue’s Release Date
Why It Could Be A Big Hit
Christmas is generally a lucrative time for musical movies, as Hugh Jackman’s own Les Misérables and The Greatest Showman were both released around Christmas and were both big box-office hits that grossed over $400 million. By releasing on December 25, Song Sung Blue will not only maximize its box office prospects, but also position itself as a potential awards season contender. With star power and iconic music, Song Sung Blue could be the surprise hit of this Christmas season.
