What An Enderman Is In A Minecraft Movie & Why It Drops “Pearls” After Being Defeated

Henry encountering an enderman is the scariest moment in A Minecraft Movie. About halfway through the film, Steve, Garrett, and Henry make it to Woodland Mansion and hatch a plan to steal the Earth Crystal, which is what they need to travel back to their own realm. While Steve and Garrett try to distract the illagers by facing the chicken jockey in A Minecraft Movie, Henry sneaks upstairs and starts looking through chests. Henry manages to find the Earth Crystal, but he also encounters an enderman.

The enderman in A Minecraft Movie looks just like they do in the video game, but it has an interesting new ability. When Henry looks at the enderman, it shows him visions of the other characters in A Minecraft Movie turning against him. Even though endermen do not play a major role in A Minecraft Movie, this is the most terrifying moment in the film. After this scene, it’s possible that endermen could play a bigger role in a potential sequel to A Minecraft Movie. So, here’s what endermen are and why they drop ender pearls.

Endermen Are Mobs With Teleportation Abilities That Only Attack When You Look Directly At Them

Endermen Are One Of The Creepiest Mobs In Minecraft

Endermen are dangerous mobs with teleportation abilities in Minecraft, and were added into the game in 2011 as part of the Adventure Update. However, as is stated in A Minecraft Movie, endermen are only dangerous if a player looks directly at them. Unlike other monsters in Minecraft, such as zombies, skeletons, spiders, and creepers, endermen will only attack players if they are provoked. Once they start attacking, endermen can deal a lot of damage and require several hits with powerful weapons to be killed.

Endermen are one of the most important mobs in the video game, since they help players get to the End.

In Minecraft, endermen can spawn in the Overworld, the Nether, and the End. If they are not provoked, they casually wander around the world and occasionally pick up blocks to move them somewhere else. Based on their appearance and their name, it is pretty clear that endermen were inspired by Slender Man, the fictional supernatural creature that gained popularity on the internet in 2009. While they do not play an important role in A Minecraft Movie, endermen are one of the most important mobs in the video game, since they help players get to the End.

Endermen Don’t Always Drop Ender Pearls When They’re Killed

Ender Pearls Allow Players To Teleport In Minecraft

As is seen in A Minecraft Movie, endermen drop ender pearls when they are killed. Henry obtaining an ender pearl from the enderman ends up being very important at the end of A Minecraft Movie. During the climax of the film, Henry uses his ender pearl to teleport to the Earth Crystal, which allows him to restore sunlight to the Overword. Because of this, Malgosha and her army are defeated in A Minecraft Movie.

Just like in the movie, endermen also drop ender pearls in the Minecraft game. After being slain by the player, endermen have a 50% chance of dropping ender pearls, which allow players to teleport when thrown. Dropping ender pearls make sense for endermen, since they can often be seen teleporting around the world. Ender pearls can help players travel around the world faster, but they also have a more useful purpose in Minecraft.

What Ender Pearls Do & How They Work

Ender Pearls Help Players Reach The End In Minecraft

In addition to telporting players around the world, ender pearls can also be used to craft eyes of ender. In addition to killing endermen and gathering ender pearls, Minecraft players can also travel to the Nether to find and kill blazes, which drop blaze rods. Blaze rods can be turned into blaze powder, which can be combined with ender pearls to create eyes of ender. Just like ender pearls, eyes of ender can also be thrown by the player. However, instead of teleporting them, eyes of ender’s lead players to a stronghold which will contain an end portal.

Strongholds are mᴀssive underground structures that contain a lot of loot and a portal to the End. Once in the End, players can fight the Ender Dragon, which is considered to be the final boss of Minecraft’s Survival mode. While the End is not featured in A Minecraft Movie, it’s possible that the inclusion of the enderman teases that the characters will travel there in a potential sequel. Therefore, while they have a smaller role in A Minecraft Movie, endermen and ender pearls are very important in the video game.
