The Predator franchise introduced audiences to one of the most formidable and fascinating sci-fi characters of all time. Predators are also known as the Yautja, an extremely dangerous alien species that hunts other dangerous species for sport in a similar manner to a big game hunter. The Predator movies have gradually shown fans some of the different Predator customs and ways of life, but the first movie is undoubtedly the most iconic. This is partly due to the mystery about what exactly the Predator is and how it operates.
While the sequel Prey has decidedly revived the franchise, there were other attempts to keep the Predator’s story going. These involved combining the premise with the enormously successful Alien series. The idea was an exciting one, as the Predator’s honor code means that individuals would behave differently around other alien species, but the crossover movies received largely negative reviews for being boring. While this crossover was not successful, the sci-fi genre is full of fascinating characters that could give the Predator a good fight.

RoboCop
The Robot Police Officer With An Arsenal Of Weaponry
The RoboCop franchise might be a very quotable satire of modern corporate America, but it produced another one of the most formidable fighters in sci-fi. The original 1987 RoboCop movie follows a police officer who is gunned down and left for ᴅᴇᴀᴅ but ends up being reincarnated as a robot police official. The character is often regarded as an antihero, but as he is capable and willing to defend himself, the Predator would likely see him as a worthy opponent.
Both RoboCop and the Predator have an exciting range of high-tech weaponry, which means that a fight between the two characters would likely involve trying to outmaneuver each other using their respective arsenals. That said, RoboCop might be at an advantage. The Predator spends most of the original movie using cloaking to render it invisible to Dutch and his team, while RoboCop’s thermal vision would make this useless. It would be interesting to see what the Predator does without its signature tactic.

The Terminator
There Are Many Terminators For The Predator To Choose From
The Predator has fought the Terminator in comic book form as part of an epic battle between Predators, Aliens (Xenomorphs), and the Terminator. That said, this battle has not yet made it to the screen, and it would be an impressive spectacle to see the Predator fight another Arnold Schwarzenegger character. While Schwarzenegger is being recast in the Terminator franchise, that does not rule out a Terminator appearance in the Predator franchise, though this might be a storytelling nightmare if Dutch (also played by Schwarzenegger) were ever to reappear.
Even without Schwarzenegger’s T-800, there are still several kinds of Terminator models the Predator could fight. The terrifying T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day would be more than a match for the Predator due to its ability to turn to liquid metal. It is virtually unstoppable in the movie, and might just win against a Predator. Another worthy opponent would be Terminator: Dark Fate‘s Rev-9, but this battle might need a second Predator to make it a fair fight.

Venom
This Character Might Give The Predator A Moral Dilemma
Venom is a wisecracking alien symbiote, and this could pose an interesting moral dilemma for the Predator. As the Predator’s honor code generally prevents the species from engaging in a fight that is not sporting, the fact that Venom’s human host might not be a danger could cause the Predator to overlook them. The Venom movies begin with Eddie as the reluctant host, who eventually embraces Venom, so the battle might depend on the timing of the symbiotic partnership.
If a fight between Venom and the Predator was to happen, it could be an interesting showdown as the two species have camouflage in common. However, the Predator has an enormous stock of weaponry while Venom has his natural abilities. If the Predator was able to lure Venom into a trap, it is likely that he could be defeated, but as Venom has regenerating and shapeshifting skills, he has a natural advantage.

Nemesis
Nemesis Might Have An Edge In A Fight With The Predator
Resident Evil‘s relentless bioweapon Nemesis is one of the most visually intimidating characters in the entire franchise. When he first appears in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, he reveals that he is not only tactically brilliant but he can be pre-programmed. Nemesis can analyze and take down his opponents with precision in a similar fashion to the Terminator, and it is possible that a fight between Nemesis and the Predator could play out in a similar manner to one with the T-800.
Even without his armor, Nemesis is a more durable character than the Predator, and the two are about as relentless as each other. This could mean that the character with greater endurance is more likely to win the fight. With Predators essentially being big game hunters, Nemesis is exactly the kind of challenge that they would embrace. While the Resident Evil movies changed Nemesis, both the movie and game versions could easily fight the Predator.

Lieutenant Worf
The Klingon Might Have A Chance In Hand-To-Hand Combat
Lieutenant Worf is arguably the greatest Klingon in the Star Trek universe, and he has trained as a warrior in the Klingon Empire since childhood. That said, while he is extraordinarily skilled, even compared to other Klingons, he might be outmatched compared to one of the greatest hunters in the sci-fi genre. The Klingons signature weapons are blades, which would barely stand a chance against the Predator’s technology.
A Predator would most likely be able to set a trap for Worf, but there is still hope for the Klingon. While Predators are enormous, Worf is used to fighting a variety of different species, and he may be able to hold his own in hand-to-hand combat. As Worf is one of the most popular characters in Star Trek, it would be both exciting and tense to see him fight the Predator, and a win for the underdog would likely be very welcome.

The Mandalorian
Din Djarin Would Stand A Chance If The Predator Underestimated Him
A Predator would likely consider the Mandalorian to be a worthy target to hunt, but unless the species researched Din Djarin, they would probably underestimate his abilities. The Predator’s enormous range of weaponry might be formidable, but many of its tools wouldn’t penetrate the Mandalorian’s beskar armor. This would require the Predator to adapt quickly before Din Djarin realizes he’s being hunted and uses his sniper rifle to disintegrate the Predator.
A battle between the Mandalorian and the Predator would be impressive, but the outcome is almost certain to depend on the location. the Mandalorian might have better armor and some virtually unbeatable tools of his own, but the Predator’s cloaking devices could give it the edge. That said, if the Mandalorian could lure the Predator into open ground, he could use tools like his jetpack to stay out of reach. In the end, it might come down to which is the better tactician.

Jean Grey/The Phoenix
Telepathy Could Give A New Dimension To The Battle
Jean Grey is one of the most powerful characters in the X-Men movies, and as the vessel for the Phoenix, her abilities are virtually limitless. Jean is telepathic and telekinetic, but she is held back by the blocks that Professor X put on her mind. This would make her either an easy win for the Predator or an unsuitable one according to their moral code prohibiting weak opponents. That said, as the Phoenix, Jean would destroy the Predator, along with the world.
The Phoenix is capable of turning people and buildings into dust with her mind. She has some of the most devastating powers of any character in the sci-fi genre, but she isn’t easily able to control them. The Phoenix is a being powered by instinct and feeling, and her powers would almost certainly destroy a Predator easily. Still, if she is to keep the rest of the world intact, she would need to team up with a character like Professor X to stabilize her powers.
3
Agent Smith
A Fight With Agent Smith Would Be Unlike Any Other Predator Battle
Agent Smith is virtually indestructible and capable of shapeshifting into any other character in The Matrix movies. That said, this reveals an essential but unusual requirement if he is to do battle with the Predator: The Predator must be plugged into the Matrix. Agents like Smith have the power to bend the rules of physics, and though Predators do not overuse technology as a rule, they look for a worthy challenge and the Matrix could be that challenge.
If the Predator were to be plugged into the Matrix for a virtual battle, this could be fascinating for fans of the franchise as the setting would be so different from everything that Predators know. It took Neo some time to adapt to the rules of the Matrix and how to move within it, so this would be a learning curve for a Predator who must not only learn quickly but potentially contend with being hunted by Agent Smith.
2
Sarah Connor
Sarah Has An Impressive Track Record And Is Not To Be Underestimated
Sarah Connor might be only human, but she is one of the greatest sci-fi antiheroes of all time and has proven that she can fight to the best of her ability. This would make her a worthy opponent for a Predator. Sarah spent most of her time learning about how to combat the Terminators that she knew were coming, and learning to fight. If she knew what a Predator was, she’d certainly prepare for that battle.
Sarah regularly puts up a strong fight against different kinds of Terminator, slowing them down even if she doesn’t kill them. While she may not be able to take down a Predator in the same way that a character with superhuman strength could, the fight could be similar to the one with Dutch in the original Predator movie. Even if she couldn’t win, a battle between Sarah Connor and a Predator would be well worth watching.

Dutch, For A Second Round
Dutch Knows What He’s Up Against And Could Come Back For Round Two
The Predator does not kill Dutch in the original Predator movie, destroying himself after being mortally wounded and leaving Dutch to be taken away by helicopter, visibly shaken but alive. This leaves the door open for Dutch to return for another Predator movie, with experience that other characters do not have. Dutch has won a fight with a Predator before, and this may attract the attention of other Predators.
Some big game hunters set their sights on a specific animal, and if it is possible for another Predator to do this too, one could easily plan to hunt down Dutch. Dutch only has experience fighting against a Predator in one location, and a movie set in a different place could lead to a new, tense battle between the two. If another community, like Dutch’s old soldier friends, were being hunted, this could bring Dutch into the open to do battle once more in the Predator story.
