Lucasfilm has officially confirmed that Star Wars Celebration 2027 will take place in the United States. This year’s Star Wars Celebration was an epic event based in Japan, focused on building excitement for The Mandalorian & Grogu, Andor, Ahsoka season 2, and Star Wars: Visions. But it seems the next Celebration will be a little more accessible.
With this year’s Celebration wrapping up, Lucasfilm ended the Closing Ceremony by revealing Star Wars Celebration 2027 will take place in Los Angeles, California, at the LA Convention Center April 1-4.

2027 Will Be A Mᴀssive Year For Star Wars
Star Wars Celebration 2026 has been an amazing time for fans from around the world, and ScreenRant has been on hand to join in the fun. Our own James Hunt, Molly Brizzell, and Ash Crossan traveled out to Japan, where they’ve been in the thick of the action; you’ll have seen James’ live blogs, while Molly took to the red carpet for interviews with the stars of Star Wars. She even had a very special moment meeting her hero, Pedro Pascal, and we can’t wait to share the full video with you all as we look back at the last few days.
Looking forward, though, 2027 will be a particularly exciting time for us all. It is the 50th anniversary of the first Star Wars movie, and Celebration will also be taking place shortly before the release of Shawn Levy’s recently-announced Star Wars: Starfighter. That makes it both an anniversary event and a launchpad; there have often been exclusive screenings, so perhaps even that can’t be ruled out?
The Future Is Bright For Star Wars
We have a lot to look forward to between now and 2027. Andor season 2 is due out in just a few days’ time; some members of the Star Wars team here at ScreenRant have already watched it, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

This year will also see the release of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld on Star Wars Day, with the eagerly-anticipated Star Wars: Visions season 3 releasing on October 29. Visions will expand next year, with a promising spinoff limited series. Meanwhile, Lucasfilm has also announced Maul: Shadow Lord, a new TV show that explores Darth Maul’s actions in the Dark Times of the Empire’s reign, also due out in 2026. And, of course, there is The Mandalorian & Grogu.
All this means the journey to Star Wars Celebration 2027 will be a thrilling one. Still, as the fans – and the ScreenRant team – head back home after the wonders of Japan, there’s only one thing left to be said: “May the Force be with you.”
