“In James Gunn We Trust”: New Superman BTS Trailer Reveals New Looks At David Corenswet’s Man Of Steel And Other DC Heroes And Villains

James Gunn and the cast of Superman take center stage in a new DC Universe BTS trailer, revealing new looks at the upcoming reboot. 2025 is marked to be one of the most important year’s in the Man of Steel’s media history, as David Corenswet is bringing the iconic hero back to the big screen this summer in DC Studios’ Superman. As Gunn’s Superman movie is getting closer to its release date, the marketing is expanding as more looks at the film are rolling out.

As the world celebrates Superman Day on April 18, DC Studios took part in the global event by sharing a new BTS trailer for the upcoming Superman movie. The featurette focuses on Gunn, DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran and multiple Superman cast members as they take fans inside the new film. Check it out below:

The Superman featurette showcases several actors and the DC Studios co-CEOs talking about what the Man of Tomorrow means to them, while also teasing the era of the new DCU franchise. Outside of the new featurette, there has also been the reveal of new merchandise from the Superman movie, including Funko Pop! figures and more on Superman Day.

What The Superman BTS Trailer Reveals

Throughout the new Superman featurette, several key locations are given a bigger spotlight, from the Fortress of Solitude to the Daily Planet, and even a better look at Lex Luthor’s armored soldiers, with designs very close to the Lexosuits from the comics. There is also the reveal of the physical Superman robots, showcasing some of the impressive practical effects that were used in this film. The footage also reveals a closer look at some of the big locations where the movie was sH๏τ, as the Superman cast are also highlighted throughout their shooting days.

Another highlight of the Superman BTS footage also shines a bigger light on some of the other DC heroes who will be appearing in the movie. While they were seen in the first Superman trailer, the latest footage gives the best looks at Hawkgirl and Metamorpho’s costumes, with Anthony Carrigan’s hero being confirmed to be a combination of make-up and visual effects. Several members of the Daily Planet crew are also seen, with a look at Wendell Pierce’s Perry White.

From everything that was revealed in the new Superman featurette, it showcases how much thought and care is going into Clark Kent’s cinematic return. With only a few months left to go, it’s more than likely that the next Superman trailer is getting closer to being released.
