Robert Pattinson Reteaming With Zoë Kravitz For Her Second Directorial Project As The Batman 2 Wait Continues

Robert Pattinson

is set to reunite with Zoë Kravitz on a new project as the wait for The Batman 2 continues. Released in 2022, Matt Reeves’ The Batman was acclaimed by both critics and audiences, with Pattinson’s take on the Caped Crusader proving to be a hit. Kravitz appeared in the film as Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, and is expected to return in The Batman 2, which was announced three years ago. Both Pattinson and Kravitz have since stayed busy with other projects, with Pattinson recently starring in Mickey 17 (2025) and Kravitz directing Blink Twice (2024).

ᴅᴇᴀᴅline now reports that Kravitz will direct How To Save A Marriage for Sony Pictures, with the studio said to be enthusiastic about the project since it hit the market. Pattinson will produce the film, which is still in early development, but there’s no word yet on whether he will star. The How to Save A Marriage script hails from Ross Evans, who will also produce. No story information has been released just yet, but the movie reportedly has the same kind of “edgy undertones” that Blink Twice had.

Pattinson will be joined as a producer by Brighton McCloskey through their Icki Eneo Arlo banner, with Geoff Shaevitz and Evan Silverberg also producing through Entertainment 360.

Pattinson’s production company, Icki Eneo Arlo, has produced Rotting in the Sun (2023) and Magic Farm (2025).

What This Means For Pattinson & Kravitz

Their Recent Projects Explained

Robert Pattinson as Mickey squinting on the planet Niflheim in Mickey 17

Mickey 17 was generally well-received by critics, but it wasn’t a hit at the box office. Made on a reported budget of $118 million, the Bong Joon Ho film grossed only $130 million worldwide, making it a significant disappointment. Pattinson’s performance – or, more accurately, performances, since he plays multiple different versions of the same character – is frequently mentioned in reviews as a major high point, but the actor’s star power after The Batman evidently wasn’t enough to attract audiences to this zany sci-fi adventure.

Kravitz experienced a little more success with Blink Twice, though she wasn’t in front of the camera on this one. Sporting a 75% score on Rotten Tomatoes, Kravitz’s mystery thriller, which stars Naomi Ackie and Channing Tatum, managed to gross $48 million worldwide on an estimated budget of $20 million. The Batman 2, according to Pattinson, will start filming at the end of 2025, but that may not have any impact on How To Save A Marriage with that project still in early development.

Our Take On How To Save A Marriage

Though it’s exciting that Pattinson and Kravitz are reuniting behind the camera on How To Save A Marriage, the project would certainly become more exciting if Pattinson were to also star in it. The actor consistently delivers strong and often unexpected performances across a range of genres. From the тιтle, it sounds like Kravitz’s next movie would be more grounded than either The Batman or Mickey 17, and Pattinson has excelled in these types of stories before.

As for Kravitz, Blink Twice served as a strong announcement for her as a director. Even though the film wasn’t universally acclaimed or a smash hit at the box office, it featured a distinct voice and tone that makes her future projects ones to look forward to. Many questions remain about How To Save A Marriage, but it already has some key ingredients for success.
