The star of Shawn Levy’s upcoming Star Wars movie has been confirmed at Star Wars Celebration. Ryan Gosling was previously reported to have been cast in the highly anticipated project that was rumored to have been set after the events of The Rise of Skywalker. The upcoming film will be released on May 28, 2027, the 50th anniversary year of when the original Star Wars movie was first released. Starfighter is confirmed to be set five years after The Rise of Skywalker and will be a standalone story.
