Miles Morales’ animated trilogy is getting ready to come to a finishing point as Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is finally getting closer to becoming a reality. Following numerous delays, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will release in June 2027, as Miles and his allies deal with the fallout from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

In a new MTV interview, Steinfeld was asked about the status of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse after Sony announced its official 2027 release date at this year’s CinemaCon. Steinfeld confirmed that she has been recording lines for the Spider-Verse installment, as she shared the following:

Yeah! We are well into that thing! [laughs]… Listen, that’s the thing, you’ve got to trust the process. If there’s one thing I’ve learned with that is that – you put it in their hands, you’re going to end with something masterful, so just gotta go with it.

From everything Steinfeld shared with MTV, it’s clear that things are finally moving in the right direction for the release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, especially if they are now at a point where they are finally able to record dialogue for their respective characters. Even if it has caused fans to have to wait a very long time to get Miles’ threequel, it will definitely be worth it as Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse raises the bar.

In the end, what is the biggest task for the Spider-Verse production team is the animation, as each installment has only continued to raise the bar with the style consistently evolving. While the 2027 installment remains shrouded in secrecy, time will tell when Sony may start revealing more about Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Hopefully, as Sony gets further into working on Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse in 2025, there will ideally be some footage released later in the year.
