LEGO has officially revealed the first look at their new Star Wars model inspired by Jango Fett’s iconic starship. The same craft that Boba Fett would come to inherit following his father’s death, LEGO is releasing an Ultimate Collector Series model of the Firespray-class starship for the very first time. Now, Star Wars fans will be able to display this brand-new Firespray with Boba Fett’s original trilogy model released back in 2018.
It’s been confirmed that Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship (75409) will release this year on May 1st. This will be in conjunction with several other new LEGO Star Wars models and promotions set to release the same day as part of LEGO’s annual Star Wars Day celebrations on May 4th. To that end, here are the first images of the new Jango Fett starship set, and all the price and product information for the impressive new LEGO UCS model.

According to LEGO, Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class starship will consist of 2,970 pieces and will run for $299.99. Featuring an “authentic interior, a movable main entrance, adjustable blasters and seismic charges”, LEGO has confirmed that the model can be displayed one of two ways. The new UCS model can be displayed either in its traditional landing position as seen in the movies or in an upright flight position via a sleek display stand.
Like most UCS LEGO Star Wars models, Jango’s Firespray notably features a small plaque detailing the various canonical specs of the starship. It also comes with two brand-new minifigures of Jango and young Boba Fett, Jango’s son who swore revenge after Jango was executed by Mace Windu during the Battle of Geonosis, eventually continuing his father’s legacy as a bounty hunter clad in his father’s Mandalorian armor. The set in its entirety measures over 7.5 in. (19 cm) high, 17.5 in. (44 cm) long and 15.5 in. (39 cm) wide, putting it about the same size as Boba’s UCS Firespray from 2018.
Why Didn’t LEGO Call The UCS Slave 1 A Firespray Instead Of Jango Fett’s Starship?
The Name Has Changed
As many fans will be aware, the Firespray was originally called “Slave 1.” Disney has been working to abandon that name, uncomfortable with the negative connotations. Slave 1 was referred to as the Firespray in The Book of Boba Fett, which was previously just the type of ship. Amusingly, the first sign Disney was moving away from “Slave 1” was in a LEGO set released back in 2021.
LEGO’s New Jango Fett Model Will Also Come With Exciting Gifts With Purchase
Keychain, A Battle Pack, and More
It’s also worth mentioning that those who purchase Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship during LEGO’s Star Wars Day celebrations will also get some great promotional gifts (while supplies last). This includes a keychain inspired by the Firespray, a battle pack featuring a trio of clone cadets training on Kamino, and a mini-build of The Millennium Falcon. Likewise, LEGO Insiders can also spend points to receive a lenticular coin inspired by Jango’s ship. That said, LEGO’s new UCS Firespray is very exciting in its own right, with or without the aforementioned gifts for Star Wars Day.
