Sinners’ Rotten Tomatoes Score Breaks 10 Records

The industry is gearing up for Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, which will hit movie theaters everywhere on Friday and is seemingly the Creed and Black Panther director’s best film yet. Starring repeat collaborator Michael B. Jordan in the dual role of twin brothers Smoke and Stack in the 1930s American South, Sinners’ story depicts the pair confronting vampires and other supernatural horrors when they return to their hometown. Sinners will be presented in multiple formats worldwide, offering audiences different ways to experience this new horror classic in the making.

In addition to Michael B. Jordan, Sinners’ cast includes the likes of Hailee Steinfeld, Wunmi Mosaku, and Jack O’Connell. On the other hand, Ryan Coogler has been an established prestige director in Hollywood for some time now, and his being able to deliver a movie that tops all his previous works is no small feat. Many will argue that Creed is better than Rocky, even at the latter’s height, another once impossible task Coogler somehow managed to achieve. However, the early Rotten Tomatoes scores for Sinners have already broken records, and we can expect something earth-shattering coming to theaters this week.

Sinners Is The Highest Movie For Ryan Coogler, Michael B. Jordan, & Others In Rotten Tomatoes

Sinners’ 100% Is A New High For The Director & Most Of The Cast

As of its debut, Sinners breaks records as it is now the highest-rated movie from Ryan Coogler and his recurring leading man Michael B. Jordan. For Jordan, Sinners is actually tied at a 100% critical approval rating with 2013’s Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, although the latter is only reviewed by six critics against Sinners’ 45 reviews so far. Jordan’s next highest-rated movies are Black Panther (96%) and Creed (95%). He and Hailee Steinfeld are the biggest stars in Sinners, and the movie also tops Steinfeld’s chart, beating out Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (97%).

Unsurprisingly, with that 100%, Sinners is a record-breaker for pretty much its entire cast. For leading cast members Jack O’Connell, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, Li Jun Li, and Delroy Lindon, it is now their critically highest-rated movie. For Wunmi Mosaku, it is tied at 100% with another тιтle, while Miles Caton does not yet have any other projects that have been scored by Rotten Tomatoes. Comicbook.com has also reported that Sinners is currently the highest-rated vampire movie ever.

Sinners’ Rotten Tomatoes Score Means These 10 Records Will Never Be Broken

If Things Keep Going This Way, Nothing Will Ever Surpᴀss Sinners

Of course, with a literally perfect score, if this holds, Sinners’ various records will never be broken again, perhaps only tied if and when the director and stars come back with another groundbreaking, masterful cinematic work — or if someone else does something really unexpected with the vampire genre. As of right now, it looks like Sinners is about to cement its place as Ryan Coogler’s best movie. Which is astounding given the several incredible movies the director has already made, hinting that we should never write off what he may do in the future to surpᴀss even this.
