‘F-15 Jets, KC-135 Tanker, THAAD, MQ-9…’: U.S. Losses HIT $3.84B in Two Weeks of War With Iran.hl

In a staggering revelation that exposes the true cost of Operation Epic Fury, the United States has suffered $3.84 billion in confirmed military equipment losses in just two weeks of fighting against Iran.

According to defense sources and preliminary Pentagon ᴀssessments, the staggering figure includes multiple advanced F-15 Eagle fighter jets sH๏τ down, at least four KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft destroyed or heavily damaged, a THAAD battery severely compromised, and over a dozen MQ-9 Reaper drones lost to Iranian air defenses. The tally also factors in damaged systems, expended munitions, and destroyed radar installations across the region.

This enormous financial blow comes as America’s military campaign faces mounting humiliation. The USS Gerald R. Ford remains crippled by recurring fires and limited operations, while the USS Abraham Lincoln has reportedly sustained missile damage and reduced combat capability. Both of the U.S. Navy’s most powerful supercarriers are now operating under severe restrictions in the Arabian Sea.

Iran under Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has proven far more capable than Washington anticipated. Iranian air defenses have repeatedly downed high-value American ᴀssets, while Tehran continues to launch punishing ballistic missile barrages against Israel and strike U.S. bases in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. The Strait of Hormuz remains a war zone, with Iranian forces successfully disrupting global oil shipments.

The $3.84 billion loss represents only the direct material cost — it does not include the mᴀssive expenditure on munitions (already exceeding $11 billion in the first week), operational expenses, or the human cost of American and allied casualties.

Military analysts describe the situation as “deeply concerning.” With critical interceptor stockpiles running low, radar networks degraded, and both aircraft carriers compromised, the U.S. is struggling to maintain the tempo of operations it originally planned.

What was sold to the public as a swift, overwhelming campaign to neutralize the Iranian threat has instead become an extremely expensive war of attrition. As the bill climbs toward $15 billion in just two weeks, serious questions are being asked in Washington: How much more can America afford to lose before this conflict becomes strategically unsustainable?

The losses are mounting. The carriers are burning. And Iran is still standing strong.
