After it premiered at Sundance in 2024, the film has already won a NewFest 2024 Grand Jury Award and a Torino Film Festival win for Gallo’s lead performance. It is first and foremost, however, a classic thriller that benefits from taking its protagonist’s unique experience and leans it for some reliable genre fare.
