Captain America: Brave New World’s Digital And Blu-Ray Release Dates Revealed By Marvel

Marvel officially announces Captain America: Brave New World‘s digital release date nearly two months after the MCU Phase 5 movie arrived in theaters. Captain America: Brave New World gives the Captain America тιтle a new beginning with Sam Wilson’s first theatrical adventure as Captain America, as well as the continuation of Hulk’s MCU lore with President Ross’ transformation into Red Hulk and the Leader’s return. Captain America and Ross avoid a global war in Captain America: Brave New World‘s ending, but their conflict prepares Sam Wilson to ᴀssemble a new team of Avengers for future battles.

Marvel confirms Captain America: Brave New World will be available on digital, 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD on May 13, 2025. The digital and Blu-ray versions of Captain America: Brave New World include bonus content such as “deleted scenes, a gag reel, featurettes, a filmmaker commentary and much more,” and that the 4K UHD version of the movie will be available in a limited-edition SteelBook. Marvel also announces the Captain America 4-Movie Collection, available digitally on April 15, and on Blu-ray and DVD since May 13.

What Captain America: Brave New World’s Home Release Dates Mean

Digital and streaming release windows have shortened drastically over the past six years, which has led to discussions about the ideal length of theatrical runs. However, two-month release windows are within the norm nowadays. Bonus features like deleted scenes and gag reels are an incentive for audiences who enjoyed the theatrical experience and viewers who missed the movie’s theatrical run. Captain America: Brave New World‘s production went through major delays and changes behind the scenes, thus its filmmaker commentary and behind-the-scenes footage could be interesting to those interested in the details.

Marvel’s Captain America 4-Movie Collection will also be a valuable addition to Marvel and Captain America fans. Physical media is becoming increasingly rare, and a SteelBook adds an extra layer of value to any collection. Steve Rogers’ MCU journey can be completed separately with Marvel’s Avengers four-movie collection or individual Avengers SteelBooks. The Captain America 4-Movie Collection can also be complemented with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s Blu-ray or 4k collector’s edition release, also sold separately.

Our Take On Captain America: Brave New World’s Home Release Dates

Captain America: Brave New World’s Digital Release Serves As A Refresher Prior To Sam Wilson’s MCU Return Next Year

Unfortunately, Captain America: Brave New World hasn’t been as commercially successful as other MCU movies. Having earned $412.8 million worldwide so far, Captain America: Brave New World remains the sixth lowest-grossing movie in the MCU, with $40 million left to reach Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. While Captain America: Brave New World‘s box office results are unlikely to rise significantly before its theatrical run ends, its home release will at least serve as a refresher for audiences looking forward to Captain America’s return in 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday and 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars.
