Chadwick Boseman and Kevin Costner‘s underrated movie has found a new life on streaming years later. Boseman was a beloved actor up until his premature death from colon cancer at the age of 43. Before his tragic pᴀssing, Boseman was known for playing the leading hero T’Challa in Black Panther as well as in the Avengers movies. He was acclaimed for his work in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, for which he was nominated for a posthumous Oscar for Best Actor.
Like Boseman, Costner is also an Oscar nominee. He won Best Director and Best Picture for the film Dances with Wolves, for which he was also nominated for Best Actor. More recently, the actor has been known for his work in the Western genre. He was one of the lead characters in Yellowstone before leaving in the middle of season 5. He also directed the Horizon films, and starred in them. Costmer and Boseman starred in a sports movie together that is now doing well on streaming.
Draft Day Is Doing Well On Streaming
Draft Day Came Out In 2014
Draft Day is now getting a second life on Netflix. Now, Draft Day has experienced newfound success as it has become a streaming hit on Netflix. The film made it to the no. 10 slot of movies in the United States today, April 7. It joins a list of top тιтles that also includes One of Them Days, The Life List, Geostorm, Alpha, The Croods, Despicable Me 4, Jack the Giant Slayer, Dane of Thieves 2: Pantera, and Sicario: Day of the Soldado.
What This Means For Draft Day
It Is A Legacy Film For Its Director As Well
Draft Day is part of the legacy of more than just Boseman. It is also the final feature film directed by Ghostbusters icon Ivan Reitman. This makes the film a good one for audiences to check out, as it gives them a chance to see multiple late talents in what are now understood to be later stages of their careers. It may not have been the best-reviewed movie of its time, but Draft Day‘s insight into the football drafting process and its strong performances make it worth watching.
