Keke Palmer’s first starring comedy movie in years, One of Them Days, was a commercial and critical success and is even now enjoying new life on streaming as it trends on Netflix. The success of this film makes the prospects of her next comedy movie, Good Fortune, even better, especially considering the combined comedic talents of Rogen, Reeves, and Ansari. Good Fortune, which will be distributed by Lionsgate, is currently set for a theatrical release on October 17, 2025.
While One of Them Days follows Palmer’s Dreux and SZA’s Alyssa overcoming obstacles to avoid getting evicted from their Los Angeles apartment, Good Fortune will feature a more high-concept premise following Reeves’ guardian angel character named Gabriel. Gabriel notices Ansari’s down-on-his-luck character one day and switches his life and body with those of a wealthy socialite, played by Rogen in a Freaky Friday scenario. Gabriel tried to show Ansari’s character that wealth couldn’t solve his problems but he turns out to be wrong and loses his angel wings as a result of his mistake.

Ansari is known for his comedic brilliance, based on his critically acclaimed Netflix series Master of None, which won 3 Emmys.
Meanwhile, Rogen will still be fresh off his success with his new showbiz comedy series The Studio. Reeves should be riding strong off of the highly anticipated John Wick spinoff Ballerina as well.
