Marvel Head Kevin Feige Addresses Whether The Full Avengers: Doomsday Cast Has Been Revealed And Confirms What MCU Teams Will Appear

Avengers: Doomsday‘s cast will include more characters than what has been announced. Recently, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s biggest 2026 movie had a major event. Marvel revealed many actors who will be part of the cast of Avengers: Doomsday in a live-stream that went on for over five hours. Despite some surprising announcements, characters like Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch were not said to be in the movie, which was shocking. Now, it seems like the reason for that has been made clear.

At CinemaCon, where ScreenRant is in attendance, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed that more actors will be announced for Avengers: Doomsday and that the Avengers, the Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts, and the original X-Men will be fighting Doctor Doom. Feige’s comments came through a video message, as he could not be on stage because he was on the set of Avengers: Doomsday, which will start principal pH๏τography in the coming days. Based on how Marvel handled the first wave of casting announcements for the next Avengers movie, it is possible that a similar event will happen soon.

What Kevin Feige’s Avengers: Doomsday Comments Mean

The MCU Movie Is Extremely Ambitious

By the “original X-Men,” Feige obviously means the roster of Fox’s first X-Men trilogy. When the cast of Avengers: Doomsday was announced, shocking names like James Marsden (Cyclops), Ian McKellen (Magneto), and Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier) were revealed to be back as their Marvel characters. The X-Men’s presence has become a major point of debate around the movie, with many believing the team could be going up against the Avengers in a move orchestrated by Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. However, with Feige saying that the X-Men and other teams will fight Doctor Doom, a hero clash might not happen.

The Avengers: Doomsday cast features over twenty names, and with Feige confirming that more is yet to come, saying, “We revealed many, not all,” it seems like many surprises and expected names could be in store. It was reported that Captain America and Peggy Carter stars Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell would appear, but Marvel has not announced either. Cumberbatch already said that Doctor Strange would be part of the film, so he will likely be one of those announced for the movie. With so many Marvel teams confirmed, it sounds like missing fan-favorites returning is a question of time.

Our Take On Kevin Feige’s Avengers: Doomsday Comments

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Just Got Even Mightier

I expected the movie to end up being an Avengers vs X-Men film in disguise. However, with Feige claiming that the two teams, as well as others, will be fighting Doctor Doom, I think Avengers: Doomsday will end up being a more traditional heroes vs villains movie. While I was excited by the first round of reveals for the cast of the MCU film, I have to say that not seeing characters like Spider-Man, Star-Lord, and Doctor Strange in there felt disappointing. However, with the confirmation that more stars are coming, my excitement for Avengers: Doomsday has never been higher.
