The first images from Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse have been revealed. The upcoming Sony/Marvel movie will end one of the most successful Spider-Man movie franchises. Miles Morales was initially set to return for one final adventure on March 29, 2024. However, due to the Hollywood strikes of 2023, the project ended up being indefinitely delayed. At CinemaCon, where ScreenRant is in attendance, it has been revealed that the Spider-Verse finale will be released on June 4, 2027. Adding to that, the first look at Miles, Gwen Stacy, and more in the film has emerged.
On Twitter, producer Christopher Miller shared the first look at Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Miller shared some interesting sH๏τs from the highly-anticipated movie. In one of them, Miles and Gwen come together after they were last seen in different universes in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse‘s ending.

There is a lot of focus on the Miles G. Morales multiverse variant of the character, with the Prowler version of Miles and the Spider-Man that the movies focus on interacting in one of the sH๏τs. The Prowler variant of Miles promises to be very menacing.

The Spider-Verse Trilogy Finale Looks Amazing
The first major takeaway from the Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse images comes from the one with Miles Morales and the Prowler variant of himself. In the last entry in the franchise, Miles G. Morales had his Spider-Man counterpart trapped, though he was ready to escape. It seems like the revealed scene could be a continuation of that moment, as the Prowler looks like he is trying to catch Miles, while Spider-Man appears to be trying to reason with him. To defeat the Spot, Miles will need all the help he can find.
The new set of images also revealed the first look at Miles and Gwen Stacy reunited. How they come together should be a major plot point of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. At the end of the second movie in the franchise, Gwen was putting together her own team of Spider-people to rescue Miles. The first look at the duo in the franchise’s finale has them alone, and it seems to present Miles deep in thought about a major decision, or reeling from an event, as Gwen goes to him. That emotional relationship should ground the Spider-Verse franchise once more.

I think Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse looks great. While I’m not a fan of waiting until 2027 for it, I expected that to happen due to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day being released in 2026. Still, the first images from the animated trilogy’s finale are exciting. The animation styles look as impressive as ever, with some of the images looking very different from the rest. I also love the emotional punch Miles and Gwen’s image brings, as well as how the Prowler looks like he will be formidable in question. Waiting for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be hard.
