What This Means For Final Destination: Bloodlines
The Final Destination: Bloodline Trailer Is A Hit
The upcoming horror movie is coming to the theaters on May 16. The viewership record for the trailer is no doubt a good sign that Final Destination: Bloodlines could potentially do very well at the box office. The upcoming movie marks the Final Destination franchise’s first installment in 14 years. The record for the franchise’s biggest opening was set by the fourth movie, which debuted with $27.4 million at the domestic box office in 2009 and went on to earn $187.4 million worldwide.
From the return of Tony Todd’s mysterious man, William Bludworth, to the promise of decoding the deathly pattern that repeats throughout the franchise, Final Destination: Bloodlines‘ trailer offers a sneak peek at what’s in store. The upcoming installment differentiates itself from the franchise’s other movies by focusing on the protagonist’s family instead of a mixed group of strangers and friends. Though Iris isn’t in any of the previous Final Destination movies, she is said to be the origin of Death’s sinister plan.
Our Take On Final Destination: Bloodlines Trailer
It’s Packed With Goodies
The trailer loosely follows a family gathering turned ᴅᴇᴀᴅly, in which Stefanie discovers a secret kept by her grandmother, who wasn’t supposed to survive a tower collapse in the 1960s. Iris’ survival resulted in the continuity of her bloodline, which again wasn’t supposed to happen from Death’s perspective. However, Iris seems to have figured out a way to cheat Death over the years, and as teased by the Final Destination: Bloodlines plot, she is now putting the task of saving their family in Stefanie’s hands.
It’s not surprising that the trailer went viral. It’s packed with all the nerve-wrecking details that made the Final Destination franchise great in the first place and more, which makes the upcoming installment one of the most exciting horror movies to look forward to in 2025. Final Destination: Bloodlines could very well be the highest-grossing movie the franchise has ever produced, ringing in a new era for this beloved series.
