The highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 psychological horror film Ma, ΡΞΉΡled Ma 2, is set to release on October 31, 2025, just in time for Halloween. Directed once again by Tate Taylor, the film brings back Octavia Spencer in her chilling role as Sue Ann, with a fresh storyline that promises to delve deeper into her twisted psyche. 
The production budget for Ma 2 is reported to be $15 million, a significant increase from the original filmβs modest $5 million budget.
This increase reflects the studioβs confidence in the sequel, allowing for more elaborate set designs, special effects, and a larger cast. 
The original Ma was a surprise box office success, grossing over $61 million worldwide, making it a profitable venture for Universal Pictures. Its cult following and viral internet presence have kept the film relevant, paving the way for the sequelβs development.
