Tom Holland’s Peter Parker Faces Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey In Spider-Man 4 Concept Trailer

Sadie Sink joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jean Grey in a new Spider-Man 4 concept trailer. After years of being absent from the MCU timeline, Tom Holland is getting ready to finally suit up once again as the beloved Marvel web-crawler in Spider-Man 4. With Spider-Man 4 going into production in the summer, fans are actively waiting to get any new details on Holland’s Phase 6 installment.

In a new Spider-Man 4 concept trailer from Screen Culture, the sequel is imagined as introducing Jean Grey into the MCU timeline, with Holland’s web-crawler being forced to face the iconic mutant. The Spider-Man 4 concept trailer also sees the return of Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, with the sequel being dubbed Spider-Man: Brand New Day in this scenario. Check it out below:

While Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have yet to formally announce Sink for Spider-Man 4, the Stranger Things star was recently asked about the Jean rumors. As details remain under wraps, Sink stated, “This is news to me… No, I have nothing to say about this. The rumors are really cool though. It’s an awesome rumor… Yeah, I know the character. It’s a great character, so it was cool to read.”

What The Spider-Man 4 Concept Trailer Means For The MCU Sequel

Even though Sink avoided confirming whether she is or is not playing Jean in Spider-Man 4, it is not shocking that some fans still subscribe to the theory that she is portraying the iconic X-Men heroine, thus creating concept trailers like this one. When it comes to MCU movies, it is extremely common for actors who are about to join the franchise to dodge questions about who they are playing, especially when Marvel Studios has yet to confirm or deny their involvement. The Jean idea also makes sense, as the X-Men is getting closer to finally joining the MCU.

For Spider-Man 4, which is also coming from Sony Pictures, the pressure is twice as big on Sink, because it will be up to them and Marvel Studios to reveal when they are ready to tell the world who she is in the film. With Jean also being one of the most popular X-Men characters of all time, seeing her as part of the Spider-Man 4 story would be a mᴀssive way to kick off Holland’s next potential MCU trilogy. Whether or not Sink is actually playing Jean or another major Marvel character remains to be seen.

Our Take On The Spider-Man 4 Concept Trailer

Tom Holland as Peter Parker, talking to MJ, in Spider-Man No Way Home and looking confused

As cool as it would be to see Jean in Spider-Man 4, it seems highly unlikely that the MCU would go in the route of the concept trailer by having her as the big bad of Peter’s next movie. Introducing Jean as a supporting character, however, could make sense for Spider-Man 4, as Phase 6 gets ready to close out The Multiverse Saga. Hopefully, more news about Sink’s role in Spider-Man 4 will start to emerge sooner rather than later.
