Star Wars Fans Are Convinced An Anakin Skywalker Movie Or Show Is Coming After New PH๏τo

Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader actor Hayden Christensen has been spotted meeting with his manager, and it’s never seemed more likely that a brand-new Star Wars movie or show starring Christensen is imminent. Anakin Skywalker is one of Star Wars’ best characters, and although Christensen took up the mantle decades after Darth Vader first appeared on screen, he has since absolutely become the face of Anakin Skywalker. That only made it all the more exciting when he returned to Star Wars movies and TV shows, first with Obi-Wan Kenobi and then with Ahsoka season 1.

Now, new images of Hayden Christensen suggest he is about to return to Star Wars as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader once more. In pH๏τos posted on X by deebs___, Christensen can be seen shaking hands with his manager. Although the context of these pH๏τos is currently unknown, plenty of speculation has been stirred up, both because Star Wars Celebration 2025 is just around the corner and because some key hints suggest this meeting was regarding a new Anakin show or movie.

“Actor Meets Manager” Isn’t Strong Evidence… But This Would Still Be Cool

ᴀssumptions Are Being Made, But The Possibilities Are Just Too Exciting To Pᴀss Up

Admittedly, Christensen meeting up with his manager typically wouldn’t be groundbreaking enough to convince me a Star Wars show or movie is in Christensen’s future. There are a whole host of reasons why this meeting could be taking place, including a project entirely outside the Star Wars franchise. However, several aspects of this pH๏τo and the current context have me believing this meeting was indeed about a Star Wars role.

For one, as has been pointed out by numerous social media users at this point, Christensen’s hair is currently highly reminiscent of Anakin’s in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Yes, in that movie, Christensen was wearing a wig in addition to his natural hair, but it’s fair to say this haircut is teasing an Anakin appearance. As mentioned, Star Wars Celebration is also just a month away, and Christensen is confirmed to be attending.

This is the perfect time to announce Christensen’s return. There’s also the simple fact that Christensen has said time and again that he’s always happy to return to Star Wars, and there’s plenty of opportunity for him to do so. In fact, with only two upcoming Star Wars TV shows currently confirmed, there’s certainly room for an Anakin project.

Our Take On Hayden Christensen’s Star Wars Future

We’re Convinced It’s Only A Matter Of Time

Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker looks down upon Ahsoka as a Force ghost

While I would be beyond thrilled for Hayden Christensen to return in a full-fledged Anakin Skywalker show or movie, it’s most likely that Christensen is prepping to appear in Ahsoka season 2. Season 2 is expected to begin filming this summer, so the timeline would make sense. With Christensen’s appearance as a Force ghost in the Ahsoka season 1 ending, Star Wars has also set up Anakin’s return in that show.

I remain hopeful that Christensen will return in Ahsoka season 2, and I think it’s more likely than not that this return will happen. However, I refuse to lose hope that a much more Anakin-focused project is in the works in addition to that return. It may be quite some time before we get confirmation on that, but, in the meantime, these new pH๏τos thrillingly suggest that Hayden Christensen could be returning to Star Wars once again as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.
