According to a report from Puck, early box office tracking for Sinners has it scoring higher than Mickey 17 at this stage. On The Quorum, which focuses on pre-release tracking data, it currently has an Awareness score of 29 and an Interest score of 45, which is quite solid for a wholly original movie. These scores suggest that Coogler’s upcoming movie could be a hit at the box office when it releases in theaters on April 18, 2025.

Coogler is one of the most talented directors working today, but he has not helmed a movie that is not part of a major franchise since 2015’s Fruitvale Station. Creed and his Black Panther movies are great, but I am excited to see an original movie from him. Therefore, I really hope Sinners performs well at the box office.
