Jack Quaid’s New Action Movie Extends An Incredible 7-Year Rotten Tomatoes Streak

Novocaine officially turns Jack Quaid into a leading man and continues a magnificent Rotten Tomatoes streak for the actor. In the film, Quaid plays Nathan Caine, who suffers from a rare disorder called congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP). When his girlfriend is kidnapped during a bank robbery, Nathan turns his inability to feel pain to his advantage to rescue her. In addition to Quaid, the cast of Novocaine includes Amber Midthunder, Jay Batalon, Ray Nicholson, Betty Gabriel, and Matt Walsh.

Jack Quaid Has Only Been In Fresh Movies & TV Shows Since 2018

Quaid Has Starred In Several Critically Acclaimed Projects

Quaid’s first role in a feature film was in the first Hunger Games movie, in which he played the much-maligned Marvel. Ever since, he has had a very successful movie and TV show career. Quaid is perhaps best known for playing Hughie in the hit Prime Video series The Boys. However, since The Boys is ending with its upcoming fifth season, Quaid has been appearing in more movies. Quaid has a great track record with movies, and actually hasn’t been in a “Rotten” movie since 2018.

Therefore, this streak proves that Quaid has consistently chosen good projects to star in. His last Rotten movie was the 2018 Dwayne Johnson-led film Rampage, which has a 51% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, since then, Quaid has starred in critically acclaimed movies like Plus One, Scream, and the 2024 Best Picture winner Oppenheimer.

Novocaine Continues Jack Quaid’s Great Year On Rotten Tomatoes

Quaid Also Starred In Companion In 2025

Novocaine’s reviews prove that Quaid is having an amazing year. Less than two months before Novocaine, Quaid starred in the horror movie Companion. In the film, Quaid plays Josh, who uses his android, Iris, to plot the murder of a rich businessman. However, not wanting to be shut down, Iris eventually turns against Josh and tries to escape. Just like Novocaine, reviews for Companion have been amazing, and the film currently has 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Companion and Novocaine coming out within a couple of months of each other puts a mᴀssive spotlight on Quaid. The success of these two movies proves that he likely has a bright future in Hollywood. Even though he played a supporting character in Companion, Quaid is the lead of Novocaine and easily carries the film on his back. Without a doubt, Novocaine proves that Quaid could easily lead a lot more movies in the coming years.
