ScreenRant Hosts A Los Angeles Screening And Q&A Of Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond In The Desert

You can see a one-of-a-kind performance of iconic music at an exclusive advance screening of Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert, featuring a Q&A with the legendary two-time Academy Award-winning composer himself. Directed by Paul Dugdale and Executive Produced by Jerry Bruckherimer, the concert movie was filmed at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena, and features performances of Zimmer’s music as well as conversations between Zimmer and some of his best-known collaborators.

ScreenRant is hosting the screening in conjunction with other Valnet brands Collider, CBR, MovieWeb, and GameRant. Collider’s Steven Weintraub will moderate the post-screening Q&A, speaking about the process of bringing to life some of Zimmer’s most iconic scores.

Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert will feature selections from some of Zimmer’s best-known projects. Selections from Zimmer’s Dune, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King, Interstellar, and The Dark Knight scores will all be performed in the film, celebrating different eras of the composer’s storied career. More films will also be represented.

The concert film will also feature behind-the-scenes conversations with some of Zimmer’s past collaborators. These include the now two-time Oscar winners Billie Eilish & Finneas, legendary movie producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Pharrell Williams, Christopher Nolan, Timothée Chalamet, and Zendaya.

Also included are Dune: Part Two producer Tanya Lapointe and director Denis Villeneuve, and The Smiths’ Johnny Marr, who was instrumental in pushing Zimmer to create a live show.Zimmer’s scores range from sweeping and orchestral to synthesizer-based, and the ensemble required to accurately bring his work to life is both sprawling and unique.
