The DC Universe finds its Teen тιтans cast through new artwork, showing what they could look like in James Gunn’s franchise. One of the projects that was announced long after the reveal of the DCU’s Chapter 1: “Gods and Monsters” slate was the Teen тιтans movie, set to focus on the famous DC Comics superhero team. However, it wasn’t until recently that Gunn confirmed that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow scribe Ana Nogueira is, in fact, writing a Teen тιтans script for DC Studios.

While a Teen тιтans movie script may be in the works, Gunn has stressed that it hasn’t been greenlit yet, but that is not stopping fans from already imagining what the film may look like in the larger DCU franchise. The Teen тιтans fan art features Asher Angel as Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Bailey Bᴀss as Starfire, Jenna Ortega as Raven, Inaki Godoy as Beast Boy, and Chosen Jacobs as Cyborg. Ortega has been a popular choice for Raven ever since her performance as the тιтular character in Netflix’s Wednesday show, while Angel became a fan-favorite candidate for Nightwing after he shared some cryptic tweets about the DC hero in 2024.

What The Teen тιтans Movie Art Means For The DCU

While time will tell if the Teen тιтans movie ends up going forward, the fact that fans are already showing their excitement for the hypothetical film reveals just how popular the team is with the general audience. Teen тιтans has been one of DC’s most popular franchises for decades, and the iconic group of heroes has had a huge presence in media, both through animation and in the world of live-action. After the тιтans TV show ended its run on Max in 2023, making the move to the big screen is only suitable now that Gunn is creating a whole new interconnected franchise.

Given that the DCU is confirmed to already have established superheroes in this timeline, a concept like the Teen тιтans would be incredibly suitable, depending on which iteration of the team DC Studios will use within Gunn’s franchise. If Dick is already Nightwing at this point, it is likely that the Teen тιтans movie line-up goes with one of the more recent incarnations of the team, specifically the one that has Damian Wayne as the Robin of the group. That would also be a natural way to expand Damian’s role in the DCU after fans meet him in The Brave and The Bold.

Our Take On The Teen тιтans DCU Art

Based on the Teen тιтans artwork alone, it will be exciting to see how the DCU actually tackles these characters and the many members that have come and gone throughout the team’s history. ᴀssuming things go right behind the scenes, Teen тιтans will hopefully get a green light soon. Once that happens, there will hopefully be more updates on what characters will actually be part of the DCU’s Teen тιтans movie.
