Where To Watch A Complete Unknown On Streaming

A Complete Unknown is following a typical release pattern from theaters to digital to streaming. The 2024 movie is a biopic of iconic folk musician Bob Dylan based on the 2015 Elijah Wald book Dylan Goes Electric! and focuses on his life during the early 1960s. The ensemble cast of the movie includes Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan, Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Dylan’s lightly fictionalized girlfriend Sylvie Russo, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, and Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie.

James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown is the director’s first music biopic since 2005’s Walk the Line, which starred Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash and was nominated for five Oscars, winning one. The new film is already following in its footsteps, as it has earned plenty of accolades, including eight Oscar nominations. Among them are nods for Best Picture, Best Actor (Chalamet), Best Supporting Actor (Norton), and Best Supporting Actress (Barbaro).. Because it is a major awards contender, the movie is available in a variety of venues throughout its release.

When Will A Complete Unknown Release On Streaming?

A Complete Unknown Will Stream On Hulu

Because A Complete Unknown is a Searchlight Pictures production, it will eventually stream on Hulu, which is owned by Disney, the company that also owns Searchlight and 20th Century Studios (the latter of which is the studio that founded Searchlight). Its streaming release date is unknown at the time of writing, but the average time between a 20th Century Studios or Searchlight Pictures movie’s theatrical debut and its streaming release date is roughly 87 days. This means the movie will likely premiere on Hulu sometime in March or April 2025.
