In an extraordinary and highly alarming claim released just two hours ago, Iranian and Russian sources are ᴀsserting that a Russian Su-57 stealth fighter has “brutally destroyed” a major US aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea.
According to a joint statement from the IRGC and Russian Defense Ministry, a single Su-57 conducted a high-speed, low-observable strike using advanced hypersonic missiles, scoring multiple direct hits on the USS Abraham Lincoln. “The American supercarrier is sinking,” the statement read. “This is the beginning of the end for US naval dominance in the region.”

Dramatic footage circulated rapidly on social media and Iranian state television showing large explosions and thick black smoke rising from what they claim is the carrier. Russian media quickly amplified the narrative, calling it a “just response” to US and Israeli strikes on Iran and a warning against further escalation.
The claim has triggered immediate global shock and market turmoil.
However, US Central Command (CENTCOM) has issued a strong and immediate reʙuттal.
“Russian and Iranian claims of destroying a US aircraft carrier are completely false and ridiculous,” CENTCOM stated. “The USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Gerald R. Ford are both fully operational and actively conducting combat missions. No damage has been sustained from any Russian or Iranian platform.”
Fresh high-resolution images and live video released by the US Navy within the past hour show both supercarriers continuing normal flight operations, with F-35C and F/A-18 fighters launching and recovering without interruption. The dual-carrier strike group remains the most powerful naval force in the region under Operation Epic Fury.
Military experts immediately questioned the feasibility of a single Su-57 successfully penetrating the layered defenses of a US carrier strike group — including advanced Aegis destroyers, airborne early warning aircraft, and combat air patrols — especially in broad daylight or contested airspace.

This latest propaganda push comes amid heavy Israeli strikes on Tehran, Israeli operations against Hezbollah in Beirut, and repeated failed Iranian attempts to swarm or missile-strike the US fleet. Russia’s recent deployment of naval tankers to shadow the American carriers appears to be part of a coordinated effort to support Iran as its regime faces mounting pressure.
The United States, Israel, and unified Gulf nations have condemned the dangerous disinformation campaign, warning that such false claims risk dangerous miscalculation.
Despite the noise, America’s naval power projection remains unbroken. The USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Gerald R. Ford continue to dominate the Arabian Sea, delivering precision strikes against Iranian targets while protecting vital international shipping lanes.
False claims will not change reality. US naval supremacy stands firm.
