The MCU Just Pulled Off An Even Better Spider-Man Suit Reveal Than No Way Home And Now I Need Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 To Top It

The Marvel Cinematic Universe will have to do better with its Spider-Man 4 suit reveal after Marvel’s latest Spider-Man project managed to make an even better one than No Way Home. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy is one of the MCU’s best. One of its best aspects, and something I have loved about the character’s adventures in the franchise as a whole, is Spider-Man’s MCU costumes. While I believe Spider-Man: No Way Home reinforced that Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit is the best live-action Spider-Man costume we have had, Holland has had plenty of great ones.

Out of the three live-action cinematic Spider-Men, Holland is the one to have used more different suits. That is common for the MCU, as heroes usually go through at least one new suit in every movie or TV show they appear in. That is why I’m convinced that Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man 4 will once again give him a new costume. Since the No Way Home suit only debuted later in the movie, I’m sure it will be used for most of Holland’s next Spider-Man appearance, though a new suit by the end of Spider-Man 4 is almost guaranteed.

Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Suit Reveal Was Great, But Didn’t Let Us See It In Proper Action

The MCU Movie Went For A Different Kind Of Reveal

Throughout most of his time in the MCU, Peter Parker has worn technological Spider-Man suits made with Stark Industries materials. While many of them looked cool or had gadgets that I thought were interesting, I believe that took away some of Spider-Man’s agency. Peter is a hero in his own right, and constantly connecting him to Iron Man ended up being the biggest criticism Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has had to deal with during his time in the MCU so far. That is why I was so excited about Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s final suit.

It was just classic Spider-Man. Now moving into a small apartment by himself with no money and access to Stark tech, Peter Parker has to knit his red and blue Spider-Man suit. The result was gorgeous with the bigger spider logo that I felt Holland’s MCU suits needed and a more classic, less overdesigned look. However, Spider-Man: No Way Home only featured the stunning costume for its final sequence. While it was cool to see Spider-Man swinging through a snowy New York as his new suit was slowly revealed, we did not get to see him in action with it.

2025 Just Finally Introduced Spider-Man’s Classic Suit After 9 Episodes Of Build-Up

Marvel Studios’ First Spider-Man Series Was A Success

Tom Holland might not return as Spider-Man this year, but Marvel Studios has done a great job with a new iteration of the character in the animated Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. The series, which has already been renewed for seasons 2 and 3, spent a long time on how Hudson Thames’ Peter Parker would grow to become the Spider-Man we all know and love. Throughout the season, Peter tried out a few different costumes, spending a few episodes with a white suit that was inspired by the comics’ Future Foundation Spider-Man costume, which I loved.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man episode 9 then saw Peter don his classic red and blue Spider-Man costume, and the reveal was handled perfectly. It signified the start of Peter’s break from Norman Osborn, who had been responsible for his superhero suits until then, as Harry Osborn helped him instead. Marvel also revealed the suit by putting it in action, with the first look at the classic Spider-Man suit coming as Peter saves Nico Minoru from being struck by a car. I thought the moment was better than Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s suit reveal, as we saw the costume in action.

Spider-Man 4 Has The Perfect Opportunity To Outdo Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man In 2026

Tom Holland Returns As Spider-Man Next Year

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 will be released in July 2026, a couple of months after Avengers: Doomsday. Due to that, I don’t think the classic suit seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home will be used for the movie, or at least not most of it. Since MCU heroes often change costumes with every new project they appear in, I’m convinced we will get to see Holland’s Peter Parker don Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s final suit in Avengers: Doomsday, fighting Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom before the hero gets a new suit in Spider-Man 4, which could be story-related.

What I mean by that is I’m feeling confident that Spider-Man 4 could feature the iconic symbiote suit. A piece of Tom Hardy’s Venom is still in the MCU, and it would make sense for Peter Parker to don the black suit that elevates his anger and strength while the world still does not remember who he is and the hero is feeling low. That is a dark story that Spider-Man 4 could tackle very well. That said, whatever new suit Tom Holland’s Peter Parker sports in Spider-Man 4, I hope it is revealed in a major action sequence.
