🚨 Iran War: Inside US’ Hormuz Flip-Flop, Deleted Tweet After Claim | Trump’s Navy Escorted Oil Tanker?hl

The United States appears to have executed a dramatic policy reversal in the Strait of Hormuz, triggering intense scrutiny after a high-profile tweet claiming a major breakthrough was quickly deleted.

Earlier today, an official U.S. Central Command-linked account posted that “the Strait of Hormuz is now fully secured and open for commercial traffic.” The tweet quickly gained traction before being deleted without explanation, sparking accusations of a chaotic “flip-flop” in Washington’s messaging. Critics called it a humiliating backtrack amid Iran’s continued threats and asymmetric attacks.

Hours later, the Pentagon confirmed that U.S. Navy warships successfully escorted the first major commercial oil tanker through the dangerous waters of the Strait of Hormuz since the escalation began. The operation involved destroyers and air support from AC-130 gunships, which provided overhead protection as the tanker navigated the narrow chokepoint under constant threat from Iranian fast boats and underwater drones.

President Donald Trump hailed the mission as a major success, stating: “Our Navy just showed the world who really controls the Hormuz. Iran tried to shut it down — they failed. American power is back, and oil is going to flow.”

The successful escort comes as Iranian forces continue to suffer heavy losses, with the U.S. having destroyed dozens of mine-laying boats in recent days. However, Tehran remains defiant, with the IRGC warning of “hellish surprises” still waiting beneath the surface.

This apparent flip-flop in public messaging has raised questions about internal coordination between the White House, Pentagon, and military commanders at a critical moment in the war. While large parts of Tehran continue burning from sustained U.S. and Israeli airstrikes, and American wounded now exceed 175, the successful tanker escort offers a much-needed symbolic victory for Washington.

Oil prices, which had surged past $232 per barrel, eased slightly on news of the escort but remain extremely volatile. Global markets are still on edge, with fears that one successful Iranian ambush could send crude prices skyrocketing even higher and trigger severe economic pain worldwide.

The incident highlights the razor-thin margin between projection of strength and perception of chaos in this high-stakes naval showdown. As Trump pushes an aggressive new plan to end the war decisively, the deleted tweet and rapid policy clarification have fueled criticism that the administration is struggling to control the narrative.

This remains an extremely fast-moving, volatile, and dangerous situation with má´€ssive global consequences. The battle for control of the Strait of Hormuz is far from over.

Stay alert — the next move could shift the entire war.
