The Fantastic Four Star Joseph Quinn Addresses Rumors His Stranger Things Co-Star Sadie Sink Is Being Eyed For A Major X-Men Movie Role

With rumors floating around that one of the big Stranger Things stars is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the X-Men movie reboot, Joseph Quinn has offered his thoughts on the potential casting. As the MCU timeline gets closer to bringing the X-Men to life, fans are actively waiting to learn who will be taking on some of Marvel’s most famous superheroes of all time. While the X-Men movie is still in the development stages, there have been numerous rumors about who may be eyed for some of the iconic mutants.

At this year’s MegaCon, ScreenRant’s own Joe Deckelmeier hosted a panel with Quinn where he was also asked about the rumors that Sadie Sink is being eyed for the role of Jean Grey in the new X-Men reboot for Marvel Studios. Without confirming or denying any of it, the Johnny Storm actor made it clear that he is behind Sink’s casting for the X-Men film while also adding which Stranger Things actor would be a fit for Wolverine:

I think she would be brilliant in that role. Maybe Charlie [Heaton] as Wolverine.

What Joseph Quinn’s X-Men Comments Mean For The MCU

With Quinn showing his interest in having more Stranger Things actors board the MCU, it showcases his support for his fellow co-stars that he worked with during his time in the series. However, it should not be taken as Quinn confirming that Sink is actually in talks to play Jean, as it is likely him just responding to what he thinks of the idea of her being in the X-Men movie. It’s also worth noting that Quinn suggesting that he could see Heaton being a good fit for Wolverine is not him stating that Marvel Studios is actually starting to look at actors to take over as Logan in the MCU.

It’s also key to take into account that even if Quinn knew if Sink were actually up for Jean in the X-Men reboot, he wouldn’t be able to confirm one way or another. Not only is he not involved with the casting process for other Marvel Studios productions, but even his having that information and sharing it with the public would be a big breach per Marvel Studios. If anything, this is more fun for Stranger Things fans to see Quinn wanting to include some of the actors that he worked with in the Netflix drama.

Our Take On Joseph Quinn’s X-Men Comments

x-men teaming up in marvel comics led by short wolverine

Given that Stranger Things was his breakout role, it is no surprise that Quinn would be more than open to having some of his former co-stars join the larger MCU, especially in big roles like the X-Men characters. Whether or not actual X-Men casting updates are coming this year remains to be seen, as there is still no release date for the upcoming film. Hopefully, Marvel Studios will give some more official clarification on what is going on with the X-Men reboot sooner rather than later.
