Keke Palmer Comedy With 95% RT Score Gets Digital Release Date After Record-Setting Box Office Run

One of Them Days has officially gotten a digital release date. Starring Keke Palmer, One of Them Days is a 2025 comedy about two best friend roommates whose day is ruined when they discover that one of their boyfriends has blown through all their rent money, leaving them scrambling not to get evicted. In addition to Palmer, the movie features a talented ensemble including SZA, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Lil Rey Howery, Katt Williams, and Maude Apatow. One of Them Days scored positive reviews, getting a 95% Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes and a 90% from audiences.

As per Sony, One of Them Days has now scored a digital release date. The film will be available on VOD on February 11. This will be followed by a Blu-Ray & DVD release on April 1. This version of the film will include a series of extras including a gag reel, cast interviews, and additional featurettes.

What This Means For One Of Them Days

One Of Them Days Released Less Than 1 Month Ago

One of Them Days hit theaters for wide release on January 17, 2025. This means that the comedy will have had less than a month of theatrical exclusivity by the time it hits digital. This is a somewhat surprising move for Sony, as One of Them Days has been doing well at the box office. The movie has grossed $39.4 million worldwide on an estimated $14 million budget, already likely to turn a profit. Releasing the movie on VOD will limit the film’s financial potential, as it will discourage people from seeing the movie in the theater.

That said, the distributor is not shutting down the possibility of One of Them Days making more money. The announcement of the VOD and DVD releases did not include a streaming release date for the film. This means that the One of Them Days team can still make money on the post-theatrical sales of the film, and accrue it for a fair bit of time before the film comes to streaming, where the revenue flow will be smaller.

Our Take On One Of Them Days’ Digital Release Date

The Movie Still Has Earning Potential

The VOD release date of One of Them Days also does not mean the movie will be yanked out of theaters. In fact, it is still possible that the lingering comedy fans will push the movie past more box office milestones, even potentially including the coveted $50 million mark, as it is only just over $10 million away from that as it stands. Making the digital option available starting tomorrow will allow One of Them Days to keep making a profit from at-home viewers while the theaters are more consumed by the upcoming Valentine’s Day releases.
