In an interview with the publication, producer Frank Marshall also teased that Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will be “dangerous” and “scary” again:
I’ve always said that visual effects are great, CGI is a great tool, but it makes you lazy because you know you can do anything. It’s got to be dangerous. You’re in a new place, you don’t know what’s around the corner. You’ve got a different jungle, you’ve got more water, you’ve got higher cliffs. There’s a little bit of everything that’s scary.
Additionally, Jurᴀssic World‘s X account shared a teaser for the trailer coming tomorrow. The short video, captioned “Survival is a long sH๏τ,” features Johansson and Ali’s characters looking on in terror at an unseen dinosaur, which lets out a frightening roar:

What Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s Images & Teaser Mean For The Movie
Everything That Was Just Revealed
The images finally reveal the first look at some of the dinosaurs in Jurᴀssic World: Rebirth, including the typical T-Rex, but also a Mosasaurus and ᴀssorted Spinosaurus. The images also reveal fresh looks at the new characters, including Johansson as Zora Bennett, the covert operations expert leading the team, and Ali as Duncan Kincaid, a logistics specialist who ᴀssists Zora’s team in navigating and accessing high-risk areas. Bailey plays paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis who, in one image, is preparing to extract material from a dinosaur egg, their main mission.
Marshall also teases how the upcoming Jurᴀssic Park film will bring a feeling of fear and danger back to the franchise. Since dinosaurs no longer inspire the awe they once did, Rebirth has pivoted back to evoking fear, thrusting viewers into an unfamiliar environment filled with danger lurking around every corner. Marshall explains that the film features steep cliffs and expansive water areas. For instance, the images show Zora rappelling down a cliff face and Philippine Velge’s still-unnamed character clinging to a boat railing while being attacked by a Spinosaurus.
Our Take On Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s Images & Teaser
It’s Bringing Back Fear & Danger
The new images and teaser highlight how Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is bringing a feeling of fear and danger back to the franchise, which is what Steven Spielberg’s classic did so well. The image featuring the “When Dinosaurs Roamed The Earth” banner is a callback to the original film, the familiar banner falling once again, symbolizing the public’s dwindling interest in dinosaurs. In turn, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is heading in a different direction by bringing back a feeling of fear and danger, which audiences should have a better idea of when the first trailer releases tomorrow.
Jurᴀssic World Rebirth releases in theaters on July 2.
