•The three bronze swords stand 10 meters tall and symbolise peace, unity and freedom.

•They commemorate the historic Battle of Hafrsfjord, it was a great naval battle fought in Hafrsfjord sometime between 872 and 900 that resulted in the unification of Norway, later known as the Kingdom of Norway.

•It was completed in 1983.
