“I Put A Lot Of Work Into It”: Now You See Me 3 Star Previews His Character’s Upgraded Skillset & Praises The Entire Cast

Dave Franco has teased an exciting evolution for his character, Jack Wilder, in Now You See Me 3, revealing that the illusionist’s signature tricks will be taken to a whole new level. Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the upcoming installment will see the return of the Four Horsemen as they pull off another mind-bending heist in their usual fashion of high-stakes magic and deception. Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Isla Fisher are reprising their roles alongside new faces like Rosamund Pike. Now You See Me 3‘s release is set to hit theaters on November 14.

In an interview with Collider, Franco gushed about Jack’s upgraded magic tricks and the joy of working with the film’s talented ensemble. In the Now You See Me franchise, the team of illusionist con artists often use impressive feats of magic, sleight-of-hand, misdirection, and hypnosis to execute daring heists while staying one step ahead of law enforcement and the mysterious organization known as The Eye. Concerning the heist series’ latest chapter, Franco shared the following:

With my character, it’s always been more about hand dexterity stuff. I’ve always been the guy who throws cards. But now, I find different ways to throw cards. But it’s actually very impressive. I put a lot of work into it.

I think it’s out there — Rosamund Pike. She’s great. She’s excellent. Like I said, I just have such a good time with this cast. I don’t think there are any sets that I laugh on more. We’ve known each other for almost 15 years, and I just adore all of them. Weirdly, we’re all kind of different, but when we get together, it’s just like this love fest. [Alison Brie] kind of has the same thing with her Community crew. So if we can make 10 of these, I just would love to just keep doing stuff with them.

What Jack Wilder’s New Tricks For Now You See Me 3 Mean

Bigger Tricks, Bolder Heists, And Next-Level Illusions

Throughout the first two films, Jack’s sleight-of-hand expertise and card-throwing precision have been pertinent to some of Now You See Me movies’ best magic tricks. Now, Franco has revealed that his character has discovered “different ways to throw cards,” signaling that the upcoming film may introduce fresh, physics-defying stunts that redefine his dexterity. Jack Wilder’s skill upgrade hints at an even grander scale of illusions in Now You See Me 3, as the franchise continues to outdo itself with each new and inventive trick.

Moreover, Franco’s excitement about returning to the Now You See Me movies highlights the synergy between the core ensemble and the barrage of new faces, including Oscar-nominated Rosamund Pike alongside Justice Smith, Ariana Greenblatt, and Dominic Sessa. With the film set to explore the deeper lore of The Eye and potentially introduce a new generation of illusionists, Franco’s remarks suggest that Now You See Me 3 will maintain the franchise’s signature blend of wit, deception, and spectacle while pushing the boundaries of its movie magic.
